The Curative Effect Of Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy For Obesity Patients

ObjectiveTo investigate the curative effect of laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy(LSG)for obesity patients and the efficacy of related complications.MethodsRetrospective analysis about the laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy performedon 22 obese patients in the first Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University fromJuly2015toFebruary2018.Record their weight,body massindex(BMI),waist eircumferen,fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose,hemoglobin A1 c of patients with diabetes,total cholesterol,triglyceride,low-density lipoprotein cholesterolof abnormallipidsmetabolism,and the improvement of comorbiditiesand calculate the percentage of excess weight loss(EWL%)in follow-up times of 6 months.Then compare and analyze the preoperative and postoperative parameters.To investigate the curative effect of LSG surgery.ResultsAll operations were performed successfully under the laparoscopic,withoutconversion to laparotomy and no deaths.Postoperative pulmonary infectionoccurred in one patient and was cured after symptomatic treatment.Two patients occurred the symptoms of heartburn and acid regurgitation,the symptomswererelieved after acid-suppressing drugs were given.No serious complicationssuch as anastomotic leakage,abdominal infection and gastric bleeding were found after operation.Follow-upin 6 months after surgery for the patients,their body weights,BMI,waistcircumferenceweresignificantly decreased[(84.9±13.5)vs.(113.4±19.3)(P<0.05),(31.2±3.0)vs.(41.6±4.8)(P<0.05),(97.4±7.1)vs.(118.5±9.0)(P<0.05)].EWL%was(53.5±3.7)at the 6 month.FPG(mmol/L),2hPG(mmol/L)and HbAlc(%)of obese patients withtype 2diabeteswere significantly decrease[(6.8±0.2)vs.(8.9±0.3)(P<0.05),(10.8±0.4)vs.(13.3±0.8)(P<0.05),(6.0±0.3)vs.(8.2±0.7)(P<0.05)],TC,TGandLDL-Cof the patients with abnormal lipid metabolism were decreased[(4.5±0.3)vs.(5.7±0.6)(P<0.05),(2.9±0.4)vs.(3.7±0.2)(P<0.05),(1.9±0.3)vs.(2.6±0.6)(P<0.05)].In addition,the fatty liver realted with obesity such as hypertension and sleep apnea syndrome were gradually improved after operation.Conciusion 1.LSG is an effective and safe method for the treatment of obesity In the early stage(less than or equal to 0.5 years),the treatment effect is significan.2.LSG can significantly improve the diseases associated with obesity.
