Emotional recognition is a necessary skill of human beings and plays an important role in social interaction. However, children with autism spectrum disorder(ASD)have deficiencies in emotional recognition. In order to explore the internal changes of emotional matching in ASD children after intervention training, three experiments were designed. In the first study,in order to explore the characteristics of emotional face and limb recognition processing in ASD children,30 ASD children aged 4 to 6 and 30 children with normal development(TD)were selected to watch emotional face and limb pictures after completing the emotional recognition test. The results showed that ASD children had certain ability to recognize emotional faces, but could hardly recognize emotional limbs. Moreover,ASD children have similar eye movement patterns in recognizing emotional faces as normal developing children: the processing of eyes is significantly greater than that of mouth. The processing mode of emotional limbs is different from that of TD children: the processing order of TD children is upper limbs, head and lower limbs, and that of ASD children is upper limbs, lower limbs and head, showing avoidance behavior to the head.In the second study,30 ASD children and 30 normal developing children were selected to study the matching characteristics of emotional faces and limbs of ASD children using priming effect paradigm. The results showed that ASD children could not match emotions and had no priming effect on eye movement patterns. In the third study, two groups of ASD children(15 persons each)were trained in emotional matching for one month by using ABBA design. The results showed that after training, the correct rate of emotional matching of ASD children was significantly improved, and the priming effect appeared in eye movement patterns, which indicated that ASD children could establish the internal relationship between emotional faces and limbs. In conclusion,ASD children have deficiencies in emotional recognition and matching, but they can be improved by behavioral training.
