Objective: To study, quantified the imaging characteristics of patients with lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration, and studied the correlation between the severity of symptoms of patients,so as to explore the possible influence mechanism of changes in imaging characteristics on symptoms. Methods: DR plain films,CT images and MRI images of 100 patients with lumbar spine disease(mean age 51.71 11.26 years)were collected. On image measuring height of intervertebral disc, vertebral canal and protrusions respectively before and after the diameter, thickness of yellow ligament and lateral crypt diameter before and after, again to the degree of intervertebral disc degeneration, endplate degeneration, small joint degeneration, the degree of slip for grading, using SPSS18.0 statistical software, respectively, the results of single factor and multiple linear regression analysis and other statistical analysis, with statistically significant(P?0.05)as the results,Then refer to the relevant data and study the main influencing factors for the analysis results. Results: On the factors which may affect the degree of 100 cases of patients with symptoms, age, joints, joint Weishaup classification and grade of slippage, yellow ligament thickness, sagittal index, the intervertebral disc Pfirrmann grading, endplate Modic grading the seven indicators in symptom severity distribution differences(P < 0.05),in which the disc Pfirrmann grading and yellow ligament thickness of m JOA severity score of the independent risk factors(P < 0.05),while the single disc Pfirrmann grading for independent risk factor for the severity of VAS score(P < 0.05),The correlation coefficients of Pfirrmann grading of intervertebral disc, fat thickness of yellow ligament and m JOA score were calculated as RS=0.627 and RS=0.478 respectively. Conclusion: To study,it has been proved that Pfirrmann grading of intervertebral disc and yellow ligament hypertrophy have a clear correlation with the severity of symptoms, which has significant significance for the guidance and treatment in the future.
