Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of laparoscopic right posterior hepatectomy in the left lateral position. Methods: Clinical data of 54 cases of laparoscopic right posterior hepatectomy performed by our department of hepatobiliary surgery from January 2015 to December 2018 were retrospectively analyzed.Among them,23 patients underwent laparoscopic right posterior hepatectomy in the left lateral position and 31 patients underwent laparoscopic right posterior hepatectomy in the Supine position. Results:Laparoscopic right posterior hepatectomy was performed successfully in both groups. The mean operative time(149.57?39.56)min in group A was lower than that in group B(190.32?42.95)min.The difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).There were no significant differences in the intraoperative blood loss, postoperative hospital stay, preoperative and postoperative liver function, and postoperative complications between the two groups(p>0.05).Conclusion: Laparoscopic right posterior lobectomy with left lateral position has the advantages of wide field of vision, good surgical field exposure, and short operation time. Therefore,it is safe and feasible.
