Objective:This study intends to determine the relationship between th e number and subtypes of tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs)in local immunity of gastric cancer and prognosis in human gastric cancer tissues,and to determine the local immune status of gastric cancer,and provide a target for immunotherapy of gastric cancer.Methods : In this study,168 specimens of gastric cancer were selected and different subtypes of TAM s were labeled by immunohistochemistry and counted.The number of TA Ms and the relationship between each subtype and clinicopathological feat ures of gastric cancer and prognosis were analyzed statistically.Results: 1.In the local immune microenvironment of gastric cancer tissues,the expr ession of TAMs is mainly M2 type macrophages.2.In the local microen vironment of gastric cancer,the number of M1 and M2 macrophages and the M1/M2 ratio of TAMs were significantly different from the depth of invasion,lymph node metastasis and TNM staging(P <0.05),and there was no statistical difference from distant metastasis(P =0.128).3.In the local microenvironment of gastric cancer,the M2 cell density in TAMs wa s closely related to tumor recurrence(P = 0.028).At the same time,the M1/M2 value was significantly different from the recurrence of gastric ca ncer(P = 0.023).4.In gastric cancer tissues,high-density M1 macrophag es have a longer overall survival,but high-density M2 macrophages have a shorter survival period.5.Prognosis of gastric cancer is positively corre lated with M1 macrophages and negatively correlated with M2 macrophag es.Positively correlated with M1/M2.Conclusions:In this study,in the lo cal immune microenvironment of gastric cancer,the expression of TAMs was mainly M2 type macrophages.The number and ratio of each subtype of TAMs were closely related to lymph node metastasis,tumor infiltratio n depth and TNM stage.M2 in TAMs subtype The number of macrophag es is closely related to the recurrence of gastric cancer.The number of M1 macrophages in TAMs subtype is positively correlated with the prognosi s of gastric cancer.The number of M2 macrophages is negatively correlat ed with prognosis,which provides a new prognostic factor for gastric can cer.Immunotherapy for gastric cancer provides a possible target.
