ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy(LSG)on cognitive function, memory and related hormones in patients with non-diabetic obesity.MethodFrom July 2017 to 2018-July,50 patients with non-diabetic obesity who underwent weight loss surgery in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University were selected as subjects. Before and after surgery,January,March and June,Cognitive function was assessed using the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale(Mo CA scale),and immediate and delayed memory assessments were performed with serum insulin, leptin, and adiponectin. Finally,LSG was used to analyze body mass index(BMI).),cognitive function, memory and the effects of related hormones over time.ResultThe cognitive function and immediate memory scores of patients with non-diabetic obesity were higher than those before surgery, and the BMI decreased significantly, especially in the first 3 months after surgery, while the delayed memory score did not change significantly. There were significant differences in BMI,cognitive function and immediate memory scores between different time periods(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in delayed memory scores(P>0.05).The serum insulin and leptin concentrations were lower than those before surgery, and the serum adiponectin concentration was higher than that before surgery.conclusion1.LSG can significantly reduce BMI in the short term, improve cognitive function, and immediate memory, but delayed memory has no significant improvement in the short term.2.LSG can affect the secretion of endocrine hormones(such as insulin)and adipokines(such as LP,adiponectin),and the postoperative serum value gradually approaches normal value, and it is related to cognitive function and memory.3.LSG may affect cognitive function and memory by affecting the secretion of endocrine hormones(such as insulin)and adipokines(such as LP,adiponectin).
