Objective Many patients come to the clinic because of impacted teeth with severe adjacent teeth lesions.Simultaneous extraction of both teeth will be used as a clinical treatment. This treatment not only will face many risks brought by the extraction of impacted teeth and bring great fear and pain to patients, but also how to repair the dentition defect caused by the extraction of adjacent teeth is a problem that needs to be solved. This study introduces the method of traction of impacted teeth to replace the adjacent teeth, and observes and discusses the clinical effect of this method,so as to provide a new idea for clinicians to deal with impacted teeth and solve the problem of lock of adjacent teeth at the same time. Methods 7 cases(9 teeth)with impacted teeth and adjacent teeth lesions from August2016 to February 2019 in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of hefei Stomatological Hospital were selected as subjects. There were 4 males and 3 females. The patients were 13 ~34 years old, with an average age of 24 years old. There were 5cases of impacted maxillary teeth and 4 cases of impacted mandibular teeth.Patients were informed of treatment options and signed informed consent. In the treatment plans, the adjacent teeth of the impacted teeth were pulled out by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, the crowns of the impacted teeth were exposed through surgical operation, and then, the traction devices were pasted on the exposed crowns at an appropriate time to pull the impacted teeth to replace the extracted adjacent teeth with the help of an orthodontist.Five aspects were used for observing clinical effects, including whether pulling teeth were in place, the periodontal attachments after traction, teeth loose degree, root absorption and the vitality of dental pulp through regular reexaminations. Results After 9 to 29 months of traction,8 impacted teeth of 6 patients were pulled in place and aligned in the jaw, forming a good occlusion, the success rate is 88.9%.1impacted tooth of 1 patient was basically pulled in place, the repose rate is 11.1%.In 9impacted teeth, the pulp activities of were the same as that of control teeth, the periodontal attachments were normal, and there were no loosening of teeth.X-ray films showed no root absorption of the impacted teeth. Conclusion In this study,7 patients with 9 impacted tooth can play the role of normal chewing after traction, and traction of impacted teeth to replace the adjacent teeth has achieved good efficacy, providing a new option for clinicians to deal with impacted teeth with adjacent teeth lesions at the same time.
