Purposes: By exploring the relationship between training load and injury risk of professional women basketball players in the preparation period of league matches, this paper provides reference for controlling injury risk of professional women basketball players and scientifically regulating sports load. Methods: 14 Jiangsu women basketball players preparing for the 2018-2019 WCBA league matches were taken as the research objects. The training load of athletes was measured by s RPE,and the validity of s RPE in load monitoring was tested by Polar equipment. The injuries of athletes were recorded by questionnaire and follow-up survey. The data was analyzed by mathematical statistics. Results: The chronic injury rate of Jiangsu women's basketball players was 100%,non-contact acute injury was higher than contact acute injury, and the injury risk of elite athletes was significantly higher than that of first-class athletes(p=0.020);s RPE was significantly correlated with training load score(r=0.644,p=0.000)and energy consumption(r=0.661,p=0.000)based on Polar heart rate band;in the preparatory period of the league matches, the average number of athletes exposed was 153.53,383.80 hours. The training load of technique and tactics was significantly higher than that of physical training(p=0.000)and match/simulated competition(p=0.001);the injury risk of low-load group(98-490AU)was reduced(OR=0.912),while that of high-load group(591-676 AU)and very high-load group(677-1219 AU)injury risk increased(OR=2.174,OR=1.692),in which the injury risk of high-load group increased significantly(p=0.040);the weekly load and injury risk(r=0.32,p=0.150),the change of weekly load and injury risk(r=0.361,p=0.118)were not significantly correlated;the acute: chronic workload ratio and injury risk were significantly correlated under the three algorithms(r=0.43,p=0.192?r=0.594,p=0.038?r=0.619,p=0.034).Conclusion: In the medium load group, there is a lower risk of injury, but reducing the load cannot effectively reduce the risk of injury;on the contrary, increasing the load will significantly increase the risk of injury, while further increasing the load will reduce the risk of injury;the acute: chronic workload ratio under 5 weeks of chronic load has the best predictive effect on the risk of injury;the injury risk decreases when the ratio is close to 1.
