Clinical Characteristics And Pathological Features Of Limb FAVA

ObjectiveTo improve the understanding of disease of FAVA,and to further investigate the clinical characteristics and pathological features of Fava disease by comparing FAVA with venous malformation(VMs),and to treat the curative effect of FAVA.Observe the analysis.Methods45 patients with venous malformation(VMs)and 22 patients with Fawa disease(FAVA)who were diagnosed as having a single limb in our hospital from January 2016 to December 2017 were enrolled as subjects.Comparative analysis of the patient's gender,age,location,pain,dysfunction and other general information,surgical resection of both types of patients,pathological examination of the two groups of diseased tissue.And observe the postoperative recovery of the two groups of patients.ResultIn terms of age distribution,the average age of first visits to FAVA was 10.63±5.28 years,while the single-lesion venous malformations of the extremities had a larger average age of visits of 20.20±9.95 years.There was a statistical difference(P<0.05).In the site,both were better in the lower extremities,there was no statistical difference(P>0.05),but FAVA occurred in the lower leg,VMs occurred in the thigh,and the two were statistically different(P<0.05);There was no statistical difference in gender preference(P>0.05),and the proportion of female patients in FAVA was 69% higher(9:13).There was a statistically significant difference in the symptoms of pain and dysfunction(P<0.05).HE staining showed some differences between the two diseases,D2-40,Masson staining,CD31 were positive in both diseases.There were no short-term and long-term postoperative complications in all FAVA cases treated by surgery.21 patients were cured and 1 patients was effective.The surgical effect is gratifying.Conclusion1.In addition to obvious pain and dysfunction,Fava occurs in pre-pubertal patients,with multiple lower extremities,especially in the lower leg,and to some extent,it can be considered that there is a certain female morbidity preference,which occurs in clinical diagnosis.Features require us to be vigilant about this.2.HE staining showed some differences between the two diseases,D2-40 is stronger than VMs in FAVA disease.However,However,both Masson trichrome staining and CD31 were positive in FAVA and VMs.The difference in immunohistochemical expression between the two diseases needs further research and exploration.3.FAVA surgical resection can completely remove the tumor,no obvious short-term,long-term surgical complications,pain can be significantly relieved,dysfunction is cured.Therefore,under the existing treatment methods,surgical treatment can be the preferred treatment for Fava.
