Objective:To explore the diagnostic value of3.0T MRI sequences indevelopmental venous anomaly.Materials and Methods:The3.0T MRI datas of67patients with DVAwere analysed retrospectively including SWI in all patients,T1WI in64,T2WI in66,Dark-fluid in62,DWI in61,MRA in8and post-contrastT1WI in13.The detection rates of different sequences were compared. Results: On SWI all72lesions were showed in67patients withDVA,including64singal lesions and3multiple lesions. The detectionrates of T1WI,T2WI,Dark-fluid and DWI were44.93%(31/69),47.89%(34/71),46.27%(31/67)and75.78%(50/66)respectively.There was astatistically significant difference in the detection rates betweenDWI and the other three sequences, which were T1WI,T2WI,Dark-fluid (P<0.00313).There was no lesions found on MRA of8patients.On thepost-contrast T1-weighted image of13patients, the lesions wereshowed as many as SWI.There were complications with hemorrhage in2patients. DVA associated with cavernous hemangioma were found in13patients. The white matter signal alterations within the drainageterritory of the DVA were observed in2patients.Conclusion:On3.0T MRI sequences,SWI is very sensitive to DVA. Thedetection rate of DWI is superior to T1WI,T2WI and Dark-fluid ondiagnosing DVA.
