Clinical Analysis Of 72 Cases Of Aged Burn

Objective The cause,treatment and effect of burn in aged patients were analyzed to guide clinical practice.Methods Retrospective analysis was performed,a total of 72 cases of aged burn patients aged 65 and above admitted to our hospital from January2017 to January 2019 were collected as research objects.Data of gender,age,injury territory,burn cause,treatment and surgical effect were analyzed.To study the number and composition of elderly patients with different burn causes.To analyze the epidemiology,treatment and effect of aged burn patients.Results(1)Burn patients aged 65-74 are the main group of elderly burn patients,accounting for 66.7%(48 cases).(2)The most common cause of burns in elderly patients was flame burns,accounting for 58.3%(42 cases),followed by hydrothermal burns,accounting for 33.3%(24 cases).Causes of flame burns:accidental burns(14 cases)and gas explosion(18 cases)were significantly higher than other causes,accounting for 32 cases,accounting for 44.4% of burns in the elderly.(3)The incidence of elderly burns in rural areas(50 cases)was higher than that in urban areas(22 cases),accounting for about 69.4% of the total number of elderly burn patients.(4)34 male elderly burn patients,38 cases of female aged burn patients.The proportion of elderly burn patients is similar between male and female,male and female is about 1:1.(5)The most severedegree of burns in elderly patients was moderate burns,accounting for 52.8%(38 cases)in this group.The proportion of elderly patients with severe burns was 22.2%(16 cases),and fire burn was the most important factor,accounting for about 87.5%.(6)From December to February the following year(winter)is the high incidence season of burns in the elderly,accounting for 38.9%(28cases);Flame burns in winter are the most important cause of burns in the elderly,accounting for 30.6%(22 cases)of burns in the whole year.(7)The main treatment method for elderly patients with mild burns is dressing change,The number of patients with moderate burn who received conservative treatment was similar to that of those who received surgical treatment,Surgical treatment was the main method for severe burn in elderly patients,Especially severe,The mortality rate of elderly patients with Critically Severe Burns was 62.5%,Seven patients underwent surgery,Six cases were cured and one died;Conservative dressing change resulted in 2 deaths,5 cases Sign out of the hospital,After being admitted to hospital,the rescue was still ineffective and 2 patients died.(8)Pulmonary complications are the most common postburn complications.Conclusion(1).In the past two years,the main group of elderly burns was 65 to 74 years old;(2).The main cause of burns in elderly patients is flame burns,which is also the main cause of severe burns.(3).Old burn to rural areas;(4).Moderate burns are the most common degree of burn severity in elderly burn patients;(5)From December to February of the next year(winter)is the high incidence of burns in the elderly,and fire burns are more common;(6)Surgical treatment can obviously promote the rehabilitation of the elderly with large area burns;(7)Pulmonary complications are the most common postburn complications.
