Clinical Observation Of Effects Of Different Doses Of Shu Taiqing On Intestinal Cleanliness

Objectives:As is known to all, patients undergoing electronic colonoscopy will improve the bowel preparation before. High quality bowel preparation can significantly reduce fecal residue in the intestinal lumen, make the vision clear in the course of colonoscopy, effectively prevent the occurrence of missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis, so as to ensure the smooth completion of the inspection. Shu Taiqing (polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder) as a new generation of oral fully intestinal lavage fluid is now widely used in bowel preparation before electronic colonoscopy,but the effect of different doses of Shu Taiqing on the intestinal preparation of the current domestic lack of a unified guide, the study is to observe the effect of different doses of Shu Taiqing after bowel preparation, provide reference for relevant research in china.Methods:Approved by the ethics committee, the outpatient and hospitalized patients in the department of gastroenterology at the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from August 2014 to January 2015, suspected colorectal lesions need to be examined by electronic colonoscopy and has signed the informed consent of 319 patients, the patients were randomly divided into 58 cases (A group) of oral 1.5L Shu Taiqing (compound polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder) group,103 cases (B group) of oral 2.0L Shu Taiqing (compound polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder) group, 106 cases (C group) of oral 2.5L Shu Taiqing (compound polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder) group,52 cases (D group) of oral 3.0L Shu Taiqing (compound polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder) group. By comparing the difference of intestinal cleanliness classification, adverse effects rate, lesion detection rate, successful rate of terminal ileum insertion, colonoscopy operation time, failure rate of bowel preparation, repeated examination intention between the four groups, so as to evaluate the use of four different doses of Shu Taiqing’s intestinal cleaning effect for bowel preparation. Using SPSS18.0 statistical software for data analysis, measurement data to x±s,the number and percentage of count data were expressed, chi square test was used to compare the rates between the four groups, the ratio of the mean of the four groups was compared with one factor analysis of variance, level data using nonparametric test, P value less than 0.05 for the difference was statistically significant.Results:Four groups of patients of intestinal cleanliness classification, the adverse reaction of abdominal pain and distension, nausea, dizziness, bloody stool incidence rate and the total incidence of adverse reactions, lesion detection rate, successful rate of terminal ileum insertion, colonoscopy operation time, failure rate of bowel preparation, repeated examination intention, by comparison, P value is greater than 0.05, the difference was not statistically significant. The incidence of vomiting adverse reactions in the four groups were:A group 20.69%, B group 23.30%, C group 41.51%, D group 50%, by comparison, P value is less than 0.05, the difference was statistically significant.Through two two comparison of the incidence of vomiting in four groups of patients, results show:the incidence of vomiting, group A<group C, group A<group D, group B<group C, group B<group D, while the group A compared with group B, group C compared with group D, the results were not statistically significant. Conclusions:1. Shu Taiqing as the domestic research and development of a new intestinal cleaning agent in recent years, some improvements have been made in the formula, because the sodium sulfate in the original formula was completely removed, make it a kind of polyethylene glycol without sodium sulfate(SF-PEG), and the content of potassium in the formula decreased, the smell and taste of polyethylene glycol (PEG) have been improved to a certain extent, makes it easy to be accepted by the majority of patients.2. Oral administration of 1.5L and 2L Shu Taiqing in patients with bowel preparation have the same effect in intestinal cleanliness classification, lesion detection rate, successful rate of terminal ileum insertion, colonoscopy operation time, failure rate of bowel preparation, repeated examination intention with oral administration of 2.5L and 3.0 L Shu Taiqing in patients with bowel preparation, but the incidence rate of the adverse reaction of vomiting is far lower than oral administration of 2.5L and 3.0 L Shu Taiqing in patients with bowel preparation.3. Before the colonoscopy, the patient is only taking 1500ml-2000ml Shu Taiqing for bowel preparation may be enough to reach the effect of scour and intestinal lavage, not only can obtain satisfactory intestinal cleaning effect, at the same time, it also avoids the adverse reactions caused by a large number of drugs, The patient’s tolerance to the colon cleansing drug was increased and medication compliance was greatly improved, so as to reduce the workload of medical staff.
