BackgroundCerebral palsy(CP)is a common neurological disease in children. The latest study found that the incidence rate of children with cerebral palsy from 1 to 6 years old in China is 2.48‰,and the prevalence rate is 2.46‰.The pathogenesis is still unclear. The treatment of cerebral palsy is still a worldwide medical problem.Suspension training, also known as neuromuscular activation technology, has the function of stimulating muscle contraction in the core area and enhancing the stability of the core muscle group. It is one of the commonly used exercise therapies in rehabilitation therapy at present.Numerous studies have shown that Nerve Growth Factor(NGF)can improve brain function in children with brain injury.Animal experimental studies have found that exercise training can reduce brain injury and increase the expression of NGF and promote axonal growth.Endothelin(ET)is a vasoconstrictive peptide involved in the pathogenesis and progression of many central nervous systems.Studies have found that exercise training can regulate the level of ET in serum, thereby improving the degree of cerebral ischemia to protect the brain. However, there are no reports about the changes of NGF and ET in the rehabilitation training of children with cerebral palsy at home and abroad. Therefore, this study observed the changes of serum NGF and ET levels in children with spastic cerebral palsy before and after suspension training, analyzed their changing regularity, and evaluated the improvement of motor function and daily living ability of children with cerebral palsy.Provide new ideas and new methods for the rehabilitation of cerebral palsy.ObjectiveTo observe the effects of suspension training on serum levels of nerve growth factor(NGF)and endothelin(ET)in children with spastic cerebral palsy,as well as the effects on gross motor function, balance function and daily living ability.MethodsEighty children with spastic cerebral palsy who were treated in our hospital from January 2017 to April 2018 were randomly divided into observation group and control group. There was no statistical difference between the two groups in terms of sex, age, weight, clinical classification and GMFCS classification,40 cases in each group. Both groups used routine rehabilitation training, and the observation group added suspension training on this basis. The concentration of NGF and ET in the serum of patients was measured by ELISA before and after treatment at 1,3,and 6 months after treatment. The gross motor function test scale-88(GMFM-88),Berg balance scale(BBS)and children's activities of daily living(ADL)were also measured at each time point. The expression levels of NGF and ET in serum and the improvement of gross motor function, balance function and daily living ability were analyzed and compared between the two groups at each time point.Results1.After 1 month,3 months and 6 months of rehabilitation, the serum levels of NGF in the two groups increased, and the increase in the observation group was greater than that in the control group. The difference was statistically significant(F=0.032,P<0.05).The longer the treatment time was,the more obvious the serum NGF level was.2.After 1 month,3 months and 6 months of rehabilitation, the serum levels of ET in the two groups decreased, but the difference between the two groups was comparable, the difference was not statistically significant(F=0.140,P>0.05),with the extension of time, decreased significantly.3.After 1 month,3 months and 6 months of rehabilitation, the GMFM-88 and Berg balance scales were improved, and the improvement of the observation group was better than that of the control group. The difference was statistically significant(F=4.315,4.043,P<0.05),and the longer the treatment time, the more obvious the effect was.4.After 1 month,3 months, and 6 months of rehabilitation, the ADL scale score increased, but the difference between the two groups was comparable, the difference was not statistically significant(F=0.371,P>0.05),and the longer the treatment time, the more significant the improvement.Conclusions1.Suspension training combined with routine rehabilitation can better improve the gross motor function and balance function of children with cerebral palsy, and the longer the treatment time, the more obvious the improvement;but there was no significant improvement in activities of daily living.2.Suspension training combined with routine rehabilitation can enhance the expression level of NGF in serum of children with cerebral palsy;the inhibition of ET expression in serum is not significant.3.The increase of serum NGF content after rehabilitation training is consistent with the improvement of motor function of children, while the decrease of ET content is inconsistent with the improvement of motor function of children.
