With the development of society and the growing population, medical and human health receive more and more attention from various domains. The continuous upgrading development of life-science and engineering technology bring human more methods to overcome various diseases. But between functional treatments and a mature application systems including products and markets, there are still a lot of space for industrial design. In recent years, due to the increase of obesity, hypertension and growing life pressure, the incidence of stroke has shown a trend of growth and rejuvenation. The high disability rate(hemiplegia)caused by stroke sequelae has caused huge problems for patients and their familiesa and also a big burden of social and medical resources. This paper selects a social significant hotspot,post-stroke patients with hemiplegia,as a breakthrough. It is based on the learned nonuse phenomenon in the rehabilitation training of hemiplegic patients and a common treatment named Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy for this phenomenon. The exploration and design of rehabilitation has certain social and medical significance. This project is a collaborative research project between Zhejiang University,Eindhoven University of Technology and the Adelante Hoensbroek Medical Rehabilitation Center in the Netherlands. The subject designed and produced a set of wearable devices for the detection of hand movements in hemiplegic patients, and designed two sets of rehabilitation training plans.By combining the two treatment options and the auxiliary products,we made a exploration for upgrading constraint-induced movement therapy, and a complete experimental testing method was designed to provide a reference system for future clinical experiments. This research was developed by steps such as literature research, field investigation, user research, design positioning, design plan establishment and implementation, evaluation and testing of treatment, etc.,designed and made a set of wearable devices for the detection of hand movements in hemiplegic patients, and designed two sets of rehabilitation training plans.
