Objective: The application value of conventional ultrasound and shear wave elastography(SWE)in the differential diagnosis of suspicious calcification lesions of molybdenum target in breast was evaluated with the postoperative pathological results as the reference standard.Methods: From January 2018 to February 2019,46 female patients who visited the department of breast surgery of our hospital and had suspicious calcification lesions in the molybdenum target and located them and finally obtained postoperative pathological results were selected as subjects,with a total of 50 lesions.All the above patients underwent conventional ultrasound and shear wave elastography before surgery,and the benign and malignant lesions were identified according to the image characteristics of conventional ultrasound,Then,shear wave elastography was performed to measure the elastic modulus values(Emax,Emean and Esd)of each lesion and calculate the optimal truncation values of each elastic modulus parameter.The diagnostic values of each parameter were compared and the images and data of each lesion were saved.Then,the application value of conventional ultrasound combined with SWE and SWE in the differential diagnosis of suspicious calcification lesions of molybdenum target in breast was evaluated.Results:(1)the pathological results showed35 benign lesions and 15 malignant lesions.(2)The elastic modulus parameters Emax,Emean and Esd of malignant lesions were different from that of benign lesions,and largerthan that of benign lesions(P < 0.01).When the elastic modulus parameters Emax,Emean and Esd of the lesion were 70.71 Kpa,32.34 Kpa and 10.95 Kpa respectively,they had the optimal area under the ROC curve(0.911,0.816 and 0.885),and had the optimal diagnostic efficiency.(3)The sensitivity,specificity,and Youden index of Esd of conventional ultrasound combined with SWE elastic modulus parameters were 80.0%,97.14%,and 77%,respectively,when the diagnostic efficiency was the best and better than that of SWE alone.Conclusion: Compared with SWE diagnosis alone,conventional ultrasound combined with SWE can improve the accuracy of diagnosis and provide diagnostic value for earlier detection of breast cancer.
