ObjectiveBased on the <Nursing Outcomes Classification>(The third editon),to develop an objective and effective scale for measuring nursing outcomes of Chinese cerebral hemorrhage patients and test the reliability and validity.Providing a instrument evaluate the nursing outcomes of cerebral hemorrhage patients and provide reference for clinical nurses to determine the nursing outcomes and nursing measures of cerebral hemorrhage patients.MethodsBased on the reviewing literature, patients interviews and group discussions, indicators of nursing outcomes of cerebral hemorrhage patients was developed. Then two rounds of consultation by experts through the Delphi with inquiry letter, according to the opinions of the experts and the discussion of the group, the initial scale was formed.Evaluation of 20 cases of cerebral hemorrhage patients using initial scale, further refine the language of the items.Cerebral hemorrhage patients were selected for random investigation by convenient sampling method in the neurology and neurosurgery department. The initial were further selected by correlation coefficient, decision valueand and Cronbach's ?coefficient.Internal consistency and intraclass correlation coefficient were selected for reliability evaluation of scale.Validity was evaluated by content validity, structural validity and calibration validity.ResultsThe effective recovery rate experts' consultation were 84.21% and93.75%,indicating the activity of experts. The coefficient of authority were 0.80 and0.83,meeting the statistical needs. The Kendall?s W coefficient of two rounds at each levels were 0.211~0.333?0.314~0.356(P<0.01 for both),this indicating the opinion of experts tend to be consistent and experts are well coordinated.According to the results of the experts' consultation and the group discussion,a pretest scale was formed by 5 dimensions and 34 items, then the reliability and validity were tested. The content validity index of the total scale is 0.912,the content validity index of each item is 0.833~1.The five common factors were identified by extracted analysis, which 63.189% of the variance;and the correlation coefficient between each dimension and the total scale were 0.760~0.874,P<0.01,the correlation coefficient between each dimension were0.541~0.696,P<0.01.The correlation coefficient of SS-QOL between total scale and each dimension were 0.789,0.568~0.659,P<0.01.The Cronbach's ? was 0.960 for the total scale, the Cronbach's ? of dimensions were0.858~0.932;the intraclass correlation coefficient of the scale and each dimension were0.965,0.885~0.935.ConclusionThe assessment scale of the nursing outcomes of cerebral hemorrhage in this study were contained 34 items and 5 dimensions including functional health, physical health, psychosocial health, health knowledge and behavior, perceived health. The content was objective, effective and conformed Chinese situation with favorable reliability and validity. It can be used as a testing instrument for the nursing outcomes of cerebral hemorrhage patients and providing reference for the effective development of clinical nursing work. This scale has clinical promotion value.
