Objective:To explore the relationship between glucose metabolism status and the complications after radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer.Methods:150 patients with gastric cancer underwent radical gastrectomy in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from November 2015 to March 2018 were selected, and the patients with gastric cancer who had previous history of gastrointestinal surgery and distant metastasis were excluded. For the patients who meet the above criteria, the general situation and tumor-related data, the post-operative situation, the laboratory results and the occurrence of complications were reviewed and analyzed. Results:Abnormal glucose metabolism status had no significant effect on anastomotic leakage, pulmonary embolism and perioperative mortality after radical gastrectomy, but had significant relationship with infectious complications after radical gastrectomy. The corresponding OR was 4.061(95% CI: 1.309-12.603(P<0.05 and P= 0.015).Conclusion:Abnormal glucose metabolism is not an independent risk factor for anastomotic leakage, pulmonary embolism and perioperative mortality after radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer, but it is closely related to the occurrence of infectious complications after radical gastrecto my for gastric cancer, and its relationship and prevention need further study.
