Objective:to study the effect of antenatal corticosteroids on maternal and fetal pregnancy outcomes with diabetes mellitus in order to improve the prognosis of mothers and infants. Methods:To assess 810 pregnant women with diabetes mellitus that treated and delivered in the first affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University during2017-2018.According to gestational weeks,The subject investigated were divided into group A(34-36~+66 weeks)and group B(37-38~+66 weeks). Then further divided into three groups according to whether or not the use of dexamethasone and courses:group 1,antenatal unused dexamethasone;Group 2,antenatal only used one time;Group 3,antenatal used?2 times. Results:According to group A,the incidence of neonatal asphyxia,Neonatal Pediatrics,NRDS and neonatal IVH in the group A2 are lower than group A1with statistical significance(P<0.05).The incidence of neonatal hypoglycemia, puerperal infection,IVH between group A1 and A2 are not statistically significant. The incidence of poor blood glucose control in group A2 is significantly higher than group A1 with statistical significance(P<0.05).According to group B,the incidence of neonatal asphyxia,Neonatal Pediatrics,NRDS and neonatal IVH in the group B2 and B3 are lower than group B1 with statistical significance(P<0.05).The incidence of hypoglycemia in group B2 and B3 is significantly higher than group B1 with statistical significance(P<0.05).The incidence of puerperal infection and poor blood glucose in group B2 and B3 are higher than group B1(P<0.05).Conclusion:It may reduce the morbidity of neonatal asphyxia,NRDS,IVH and neonatal hospitalization of Late Preterm and early term delivery of diabetes mellitus by antenatal corticosteroids.A course of corticosteroid therapy is recommended for antegnant women with diabetes mellitus during Late Preterm and early term delivery. However,it may increase the risk of postpartum infection and neonatal hypoglycemia,we should strengthen the monitoring of perinatal blood glucose and infection indicators.
