Meta-analysis Of Clinical Effect Of Wendan Decoction On Coronary Heart Disease

Objective:To evaluate the clinical effects of Wendan Decoction on coronary heart disease.Methods:The computer searched databases including Pubmed,CNKI,VIP,Wanfang database(from December 1997 to December 2017)to collect randomized controlled trials(RCTs)about Wendan Decoction treated for coronary heart disease.Two reviewers screened literature,extracted data and assessed the quality independently Then,Meta-analysis was performed using Rev Man 5.3 software.Results:A total of 34 RCTs from China involving 3256 coronary heart disease patients were included in the study.The results of Meta-analysis showed:(1)The angina pectoris clinical effect of Wendan Decoction combined with Western medicine was significantly better(RR=1.25,95%CI [1.21,1.30],P < 0.00001).The angina pectoris Frequency of attack of Wendan Decoction combined with Western medicine was better(MD=-1.29,95%CI[-1.89,-0.69],P < 0.0001).The angina pectoris duration of Wendan Decoction combined with Western medicine was better(MD=-0.90,95%CI[-1.22,-0.59],P < 0.00001).(2)cardiogram: Wendan Decoction combined with western medicine was significantly better than the control group(RR=1.37,95%CI[1.30,1.44],P < 0.00001).(3)TCM syndrome: Wendan Decoction combined with western medicine was signifycantly better than the control group(MD=-2.95,95%CI[-3.83,-2.07],P <0.0001)(4)To reduce triglycerides: Wendan Decoction combined with western medicine was significantly better than the control group(MD=-0.76,95%CI[-1.05,-0.46],P < 0.00001).To reduce total cholesterol: Wendan Decoction combined with western medicine was significantly better than the control group(MD=-0.72,95%CI[-0.87,-0.58],P<0.00001).(5)To reduce Hypersensitive Cre-active protein: Wendan Deco-ction combined with western medicine was significantly better than the control group(MD=-1.62,95%CI[-2.35,-0.90],P<0.0001).Conclusion: coronary heart disease could benefit more from Wendan Decoction combined with western medicine compared with western medicine alone.The above conclusion still needs to be further verified by more high-quality studies.
