The Quality Control Circle Studies In Reducing The PICC Complications In Breast Cancer Patients

Objective:Through the implementation of quality control circle activities,we can analyze the causes of PICC complications in breast cancer patients,formulating and implementing the corresponding measures to compare the incidence of PICC complications in breast cancer patients with quality control circle care management model and routine one,and To explore the effect and role of quality control circle activities in reducing the incidence of PICC complications,to reduce the incidence of PICC complications and improve patient satisfaction.Methods:A total of 152 patients who were diagnosed as breast cancer with parallel PICC catheterization were recruited from January 2017 to May 2017 in the Department of Breast Thyroid Surgery,Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.They were randomly divided into a control group and a quality control one.Patients in the control group took conventional nursing care;patients in the quality control group took quality control circle care.We observed and recorded the PICC catheterization patient registration form and PICC catheterization patient questionnaire,and recorded patients' general data and maintenance of the PICC,then investigated and analyzed the PICC complications and causes of complications.So we could formulate and implement the improvement measures.The incidence of complications and the effect of quality control circle activities in both groups were compared and analyzed,and SPSS17.0 software was used to record and analyze the data of the two groups.Results:1.Our study showed that the total incidence of PICC complications in patients taking quality control circle care management was 7.14%,and the total incidence of PICC complications in patients taking conventional care was 21.05%,the quality control group was significantly lower than that of the control one.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.Analysis of factors in PICC complications in quality control patients,results showed during PICC placement in two groups of patients infection(P=0.042<0.05)?blockage(P=0.032<0.05)?phlebitis(P=0.039<0.05)and the incidence of total complications(P=0.000<0.05)was lower than that of the control group.There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups,indicating that the quality control group was significantly better than the control one.3.The overall satisfaction of the control group is 82.89%,quality control group overall satisfaction is 92.86%.Satisfaction of the two groups was statistically significant,patient satisfaction in the quality control group is higher than that in the control group.Conclusion:Conducting quality control circle activities to standardize PICC catheter interventions can effectively reduce the incidence of PICC complications in breast cancer patients,increase the rate of successful catheterization,prolong PICC catheterization time,and reduce unplanned extubation,and provide a guarantee for successful treatment.At the same time,quality control circle care management can improve patient satisfaction,improve nursing workflow,and standardize clinical nursing operations.Nurses improve their overall quality through their own efforts,Solved the nursing problem.
