Objective Through the analysis that changes of serum high sensitive C reactive protein(hs-CRP)?fibrinogen(FIB)in patients with carotid atherosclerosis,to discuss the relationship between hs-CRP?FIB and the stability of carotid plaque. Methods According to the stability of carotid atherosclerotic plaque,106 patients with carotid artery ultrasonography were selected. The patients were divided into two groups: unstable plaque group(case group)and stable plaque group(control group). To compare the changes of hs-CRP FIB,blood glucose and blood lipid between the two groups, and analyze the relationship between hs-CRP ?FIB and carotid atherosclerotic plaque stability. Results 1.hs-CRP,FIB,total cholesterol(TC),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),triglyceride(TG)and blood glucose levels of unstable plaque group was higher than those in stable plaque group, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).2.According to the correlation analysis of Spearman, the results showed that hs-CRP(r= 0.867,P < 0.001),FIB(r=0.856,P < 0.001)and fasting blood glucose(r=0.150,P < 0.05)were correlated with plaque stability.3.Logistic regression analysis showed that fasting blood glucose was not an independent risk factor for carotid atherosclerotic plaque stability(P > 0.05)and hs-CRP?FIB was an independent risk factor for carotid atherosclerotic plaque stability(P < 0.05).Conclusion Serum hs-CRP and FIB were significantly associated with the stability of carotid atherosclerotic plaques, and could be used as independent risk factors for the stability of carotid atherosclerotic plaques. They have certain predictive value.Blood glucose was also associated with the stability of carotid atherosclerotic plaques, but not as an independent risk factor.
