ObjectiveTo understand the burden of caring for caregivers of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and to analyze the impact of general information, anxiety and depression, social support, simple coping styles and patient care on the caring care burden of the caregiver, and provide a theoretical basis for clinical staff to develop effective interventions. In turn, improve the quality of life of patients with COPD and caregivers.MethodsThis study is a cross-sectional study.220 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and corresponding caregivers from threetertiary general hospital in Shandong Province from June 2017 toJanuary 2018 were selected to include inclusion criteria, and caregivers who met the inclusion criteria and informed consent were selected as The survey responded to the survey using the General Demographic Data Questionnaire, the Zarit Caregiver Burden Scale(ZBI),the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS),the Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS),and the Simple Coping Style Scale(SCSQ)..Data processing and statistical analysis were performed using SPSS 17.0,including descriptive analysis,t-test,one-way ANOVA,Pearson correlation, and multiple linear regression analysis.Result1.This study used a questionnaire survey method,a total of 220 questionnaires were distributed,217 were recovered, the recovery rate was 98.6%,of which 215 valid questionnaires, the effective recovery rate of the questionnaire was 97.7%,and the total burden of ZBI for COPD patients caregivers of 215 valid questionnaires The score was(38.81±9.35),of which 124(57.7%)had moderate care burden,22(10.20%)had severe care burden;the main caregiver of COPD patients had an anxiety score of(10.45±3.05),depression score.(9.26±2.89)points,higher than the norm(P<0.05);social support score is higher,(39.28±8.17)points,higher than the norm(P<0.05);positive coping style score is(1.38±0.55)points,negative coping style score is(1.11±0.41)points,both scores are lower than the norm(P<0.05).2.One-way analysis of variance showed that the burden of care for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease was related to the patient's course of disease, severity of illness,self-care and medical payment(P<0.05).From the perspective of the caregiver, the care burden was taken care of.The educational level, occupation, health status, family monthly income, and nursing time were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in other aspects of the caregiver burden(P>0.05);correlation matrix analysis showed that Anxiety was positively correlated with the ZBI burden total score and personal burden and role burden(P<0.05).Subjective support, objective support, social support utilization was negatively correlated with the caregiver ZBI burden total score and personal burden and role burden(P<0.05),the positive coping style was negatively correlated with the caregiver ZBI burden total score and personal burden, role burden(P<0.05).3.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the burden of caregivers in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease was related to multiple factors. The severity of COPD in patients,self-care,and whether the caregiver had chronic disease, time of care, depression, and subjective support were Relevant predictors of caregiver burden.Conclusion1.The burden of caregivers of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is at a high level. It is important to guide the reduction of the burden on caregivers and improve the clinical symptoms and delay the aggravation time from personal psychological, social support and reasonable care.2.The anxiety, depression and burden of caregivers of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease are significantly positively correlated.Decreasing the anxiety and depression level of the caregiver helps to improve the quality of life of the caregiver.3.Active coping styles play an important role in reducing the burden on caregivers.Medical staff or relevant community workers can help caregivers to establish active and healthy coping styles based on the specific conditions of patients and caregivers to reduce the subjective burden of caregivers.4.The social support of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is better, but the social support of caregivers is relatively unimportant. The improvement of the social support of the caregiver helps to improve the quality of life of patients and the quality of life of caregivers.
