Objective:To analyze the effect of Endbatton in the treatment of acromioclavicular joint degeneration. Methods:Twelve patients with acromioclavicular joint degeneration hospitalized in our hospital from September 2016 to February 2019 were collected, including 9 males and 3 females, aged 22-74 years, with an average age of x±s=53.9±15.42 years,3 left and 9 right.Surgical indications:Clinical symptoms include persistent pain and discomfort in the shoulder and upward lifting deformity of the distal clavicle. In addition, shoulder adduction and lifting are inconvenient, accompanied by varying degrees of shoulder instability and upper limb weakness.X-ray examination showed different degrees of calcification of acromion and distal clavicle in 12 patients, and MRI examination showed varying degrees of injury or rotator cuff, suprascapular muscle and biceps brachii in some patients. All patients were treated with open reduction of acromioclavicular joint and fixed with Endbatton.Active and passive functional exercises were gradually performed on the second day after the operation, and intensive exercise was avoided within one month. All patients were followed up for 1 and 3 months after the operation.Neer shoulder function score, pain and dysfunction score were used to evaluate the efficacy. Results:No loosening, fracture or dislocation of the internal fixator occurred in 12 patients during the follow-up.After one month, the shoulder pain score was lower than 28%and the disability score was lower than 29%in one month after operation.According to Neer shoulder function score, shoulder function was evaluated in 11 cases with excellent and 1 case with good results, accounting 100%;In three months follow up,the shoulder pain score was lower than 25%,the disability score was lower than 24%,and the Neer shoulder function score was excellent in 12 cases with a rate of 100%.The stability of the acromioclavicular joint was good in 12 patients, and the function of the affected shoulder joint was good without recurrence. Conclusion:Endbatton is effective in the treatment of acromioclavicular joint degeneration. Its operation is simple and can reduce complications. It should be popularized in the treatment of acromioclavicular joint degeneration.
