Objective:To test the effect of otago exercise programme on the fall efficacy, balance ability and daily living ability of the elderly patients with cerebral apoplexy after operation. Methods:From February 2018 to November 2018,72 elderly patients with cerebral apoplexy postoperative who were hospitalized in the encephalopathy center of Changchun third-grade class-A hospitals were selected by convenient sampling.Patients were divided into two groups according to the number of the order of admission.Patients having the odd numbers were in the control group and the others were in the trial group. There were 36 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine rehabilitation nursing, while the trial group was treated with Otago exercise program on the basis of routine rehabilitation nursing. Both groups were intervened for 1 month during hospitalization and were followed up during the following 2 months. The whole study period was 3 months. The baseline data were compared and analyzed by using the self-made general data survey questionnaire. The MFES,BBS and MBI were used to investigate before intervention, after 1 month and 3months of intervention. And then statistical analysis was carried out.Results:(1)In the control group, the completion rate was 91.67%.In the trial group, the completion rate was 83.33%.There was no significant difference in the completion rate between two groups(P>0.05).(2)Comparison of MFES:There was significant difference in MFES score between two groups after 3 months of intervention(P<0.05),and the score in the trial group was higher than that in the control group. There was significant difference in scores between two groups before intervention and one month after intervention(P<0.05),and there was significant difference before intervention and after 3 months of intervention(P<0.05).And the scores after one month and 3 months of intervention were both higher than that before intervention.(3)Comparison of BBS:There was significant difference in BBS score between two groups after 3 months of intervention, and the scores of trial group was higher than that ofcontrol group. There was significant difference in score between two groups before intervention and one month after intervention(P<0.05),and there was significant difference before intervention and after 3 months of intervention(P<0.05).And the score after one month and 3 months of intervention were both higher than that before intervention.(4)Comparison of MBI:There was significant difference in MBI score between two groups after 3 months of intervention, and the MBI score in the trial group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).There was significant difference in scores between two groups before intervention and one month after intervention(P<0.05),and there was significant difference before intervention and after 3 months of intervention(P<0.05).And the score after one month and 3 months of intervention were both higher than that before intervention.Conclusion:(1)After 3 months of intervention,OEP can improve the level of fall efficacy, balance ability and activities of daily living for elderly patients with cerebral apoplexy after operation. In both groups, the fall efficacy, balance ability and activities of daily living were significantly improved after 1 month and 3 months of intervention, compared with those before intervention.(2)After 3 months of intervention,OEP can significantly improve the confidence of not falling down when having a bath, using public transport, crossing the road, doing light physical gardening or drying clothes and going up and down the stairs.
