Dingkun Pi11(DK),as one of the Traditional Chinese Medicines(TCM)with a long history,has been widely applied in clinical treatment of primary dysmenorrheal and menstrual disorder,endometriosis,polycystic ovary syndrome,infertility,premature ovarian failure,premenopausal syndrome etc.Compared with western medical treatment,TCM has shown its own characteristics and advantages.In the past several decades,considerable progress has been made in the identification of DK' s clinical significance in curing diseases.Regarding to the impact of DK on the infertility treatment,the available clinical research data revealed the functions of DK in terms of promoting blood circulation,regulating menstruation,regulating the immune system and enhancing the function of hypothalamus-pituitary-ovary etc.However,modern research data and strong evidence to reveal the mechanisms of DK' s action are still lacking.Here we try to find out whether and how DK benefits in the implantation process in mice.To address these questions,multiple mouse models were applied in our study and combined with various experimental approaches.Our data showed that mice in the DK group showed advanced implantation window,kept relatively higher implantation rate even when treated with a suboptimal estrogen dose in the delayed implantation model,and much stronger epithelial cell proliferation in response to estrogen etc.Based on theses in vivo evidences,we proposed that DK could influence the sensitivity of uterus to estrogen.
