Objective:To study the relationship between hyperthyroidism and impaired glucose metabolism abnormal ?-cell function and insulin resistance in Uygur and Han nationality.Methods:A total of 446 patients with hyperthyroidism from January 2015 to January 2018,According to the result of OGTT,Uygur and Han nationality were divided into normal glucose metabolism group(control group)and abnormal glucose metabolism group(experimental group),The levels of fasting plasma glucose(FPG),half of hour postprandial blood glucose(30min PG),1h postprandial blood glucose(1h PG),2h postprandial blood glucose(2h PG),3h postprandial blood glucose(3h PG)and fasting insulin(Fins),half of hour postprandial insulin(30min INS),1h postprandial insulin(1h INS),2h postprandial insulin(2h INS),3h postprandial insulin(3h INS),and free triiodothyronine(FT3),triiodothyronine(T3),free thyroxine(FT4),thyroxine(T4),thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)were detected and compared,and the homeostasis model analysis of insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR)and homeostasis model assessment of insulin secretion(HOMA-?)were calculated.Results:There were 109 cases of hyperthyroidism in Uygur and 120 cases of hyperthyroidism in Han nationality.The levels of blood glucose and insulin in Uygur patients were significantly higher than those in Han nationality.The InHOMA-IR index of Uygur patients was higher than that of Han nationality patients.However,the InHOMA-IR index was lower than that of the Han nationality patients.There was a positive correlation between FT4?FT3?T3?T4?TSH and InHOMA-IR index in Uygur and Han nationality patients.There was a positive correlation between FT4?FT3?T3?T4 index and InHOMA-IR,but a negative correlation between TSH index and InHOMA-IR.FT4?FT3 has positive effect on InHOMA-IR.TSH has negative effect on InHOMA-IR.According to the definition of insulin resistance by WHO,Uygur and Han patients were divided into two groups: Uygur patients with insulin resistance were more than Han patients.Conclusion:Impaired glucose metabolism,abnormal ?-cell function and insulin resistance were common in hyperthyroidism patients,and the phenomenon of insulin resistance in Uygur patients was higher than that in Han nationality.
