Correlation Between The Complexity Of Pelvic Fracture And Male Sexual Dysfunction

Objective:To explore the relationship between the complexity of male pelvic fracture and its secondary sexual dysfunction.Methods:66 male patients with pelvic fractures admitted to The First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January2013 to December 2016 were selected.The pelvic fracture classification was used to assess the complexity of pelvic fractures.All patients underwent pelvic fracture AO/OTA typing and Young-Burgess typing.The International Index of Erectile Function-5(IIEF-5)scores before and after treatment were recorded.To analyze the relationship between pelvic fracture classification and male sexual dysfunction.Results:Among AO/OTA classification,the incidence of sexual dysfunction in patients with 61-B type was higher than that in patients with 61-A type,and the difference was statistically significant(c~2=6.982,P=0.009).The incidence of sexual dysfunction in patients with 61-B type was higher than that of patients with 61-C type and 61-C type was higher than that of patients with 61-A type,but the difference was not statistically significant.Among Young-Burgess classification,the incidence of sexual dysfunction in APC type,VS type+CM type was higher than that in LC type,and the difference was statistically significant(c~2=8.161,P=0.006;c~2=8.464,P=0.008).The incidence of sexual dysfunction in VS type+CM type was higher than that in APC type,but there was no significant difference.Conclusion:The complexity of pelvic fractures is related to male sexual dysfunction.Among AO/OTA classification,61-B type is more likely to cause sexual dysfunction than 61-A type.Among the Young-Burgess classification,APC type,VS type+CM type are more likely to cause sexual dysfunction than LC type.
