Objective: Collecting patients with the temporomandibular joint structural disorder and the crossbite in clinical diagnosis, according to the different distribution of the crossbite teeth in the oral cavity, and the classification of temporomandibular joint structural disorders, studying the correlation between the crossbite and temporomandibular joint disc displacement(DD).The CBCT was used to further study the image correlation between the crossbite teeth and temporomandibular joint disorders. Methods: Fifty-nine cases were collected, diagnosed as DD with crossbite. The patients with DD were divided into disc displacement with reduction and disc displacement without reduction. They were classified in terms of the crossbite tooth location, morphological function, crossbite tooth number, relative median line of crossbite tooth. The data were analyzed with SPSS22.0 software package and X2 test. The clinical data of patients with temporomandibular joint with unilateral rumination were diagnosed and CBCT imaging was performed.According to the diagnosis of the temporomandibular joint disorder,it can be divided into disc displacement with reduction and disc displacement without reduction, according to statistically significant intraoral grouping in previous clinical studies. The condyle-joint socket was reconstructed using Mimics 22.0 software, and the bilateral joint space, joint depth, joint nodule slope and bone density were measured.CBCT images of all patients were measured multiple times and averaged. All data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 22.0 software. The paired T-test was performed on the affected side of the temporomandibular joint structure disorder, and the comparison between the groups was performed by One-way ANOVA analysis of variance.P < 0.05 was considered to be statistically significant. Results: 1.Clinical results:There was a significant correlation between crossbite tooth position and DD,crossbite inanterior and posterior teeth had a high incidence of disc displacement without reduction,P<0.05.The other classification was no significance,P>0.05.2.Image results: Unilateral DD with crossbite patients compared with healthy and affected side, the anterior space of the affected side increased, statistically significant P<0.05.non-crossbite in anterior and posterior teeth was compared with the crossbite in anterior and posterior teeth, the anterior and upper space increased, with a statistical significance P<0.05.Conclusion: Crossbite can cause imaging changes in the condyle-joint socket, resulting in widening of the anterior space of the affected side.CBCT can better show the changes of the skeletal structure and joint space of the temporomandibular joint.
