Objective: To analysis patients' s clinical databases with maxillofacial trauma in Yili area of Xinjiang automatic region,and to explore the epidemiological characteristics of trauma and prevention methods.Methods:To collect and analysis clinical data ofpatients with maxillofacial trauma hospitalized in oral and maxillofacial surgery from January 2012 to December 2016 in Yili region.Results:The ratio of male to female in 446 patients is 3.6:1,ages from 20 to 40 years old(53.36%)was the peak incidence.And classification of career,farmers(53.8%)was the highest percentage group.The peak period of the injury period is from August to October(35.4%).Traffic accident(44.2%)were most common cause of trauma,followed by falls from high places(21%)and violence(21%).The type of maxillofacial trauma was mainly 403 cases of fractures;accounting for 90.43%.The highest incidence of zygomatic fractures143(35.5%).Soft tissue injury in the oral mucosa is highest(20.7%).Logistic regression analysis showed that the relative risk of facial fractures was higher than that of traffic accident(OR=0.354,P<0.05).The higher the age,the higher the relative risk of facial fractures was 1.025 times.The relative risk of mandibular fractures was higher than that of traffic injuries(OR=0.024,P<0.05).Traffic injuries are risk factors for mid-face fractures and mandibular fractures.Conculusion: young and middle-aged people are most common patients with oral and maxillofacial trauma in Yili area.Traffic accident are the main cause of injury,followed by fall injuries and violence.The injury of craniocerebral is the most common in combined injuries.
