Objective: This paper summarizes and discusses the main mechanism of this disease and demonstrates the effectiveness of using the modified tongqiao huoxue decoction combined with Weishi manipulation to provide some ideas for the prevention of this disease, improvement of patients' symptoms and reduction of recurrence rate. Methods: From August 2017 to August 2018,this study selected outpatients and inpatient patients in Spinal Orthopedics Section 2 ofRuikangHospital. All the subjects were diagnosed as vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis and met the diagnostic criteria of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine for this disease. With reference to relevant indicators,40 subjects were selected in this study and randomly divided into treatment group taking the modified tongqiao huoxue decoction combined with Weishi manipulation group and taking cervical traction with Weishi manipulation as control group, with 20 cases in each group.Using simple random sampling from the textbook Medical Statistics:(1)to determine the total number and list of subjects who meet the diagnostic criteria of vertebral artery cervical spondylosis and sign the informed consent form for experimental research,(2)the subjects extract table tennis labeled with 1-40 numbers from the carton in sequence, and set 20 groups with even numbers of each label as the treatment group, and the odd numbers as the control group. In the end, there were 0 cases of detachment, totaling 40 cases, including 20 cases in the treatment group and 20 cases in the control group. Both groups of patients need to fill in positive symptom scores before and after treatment.Subjective indicators of this experiment: positive symptom scores such as dizziness, headache, nausea and vomiting, cataplexy, headache, neck tenderness, neck and shoulder pain, and overall curative effect comparison; Objective indicators are mainly transcranial Doppler(TCD)examination, like peak systolic blood flow velocity(Vs),end diastolic blood flow velocity(Vd),average blood flow velocity(Vm)of left and right vertebral arteries, etc. Then SPSS 23.0 statistical software is used to statistically analyze and process the obtained data. Results: There was no significant difference between the two groups in general conditions such as gender, age, disease course, disease condition and the comparison of positive symptoms before treatment,P>0.05,proving that the data of the two groups were comparable. After treatment, the two groups have certain effects on the main symptoms such as dizziness and headache, neck and shoulder pain and tenderness, blurred vision, hearing abnormality, nausea and vomiting, upper limb numbness and pain, but the effective rate of the treatment group is significantly better than that of the control group.meanwhile, through statistical analysis, the results show that the treatment group and the control group have significant differences in positive symptom scores, overall curative effect,TCD improvement before and after treatment,P <0.05.Among them, the total effective rates of the treatment group and control group are 95% and 85%,respectively.the treatment effect of the treatment group is obviously better than that of the control group(p<0.05),and the effect of the treatment group is obviously better than that of the massage traction group.the comparison of the symptom scores after treatment between the two groups P < 0.05 proves that the modified tongqiao huoxue decoction combined with Weishi manipulation has definite curative effect on vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis. Conclusion: Vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis can achieve good effects after two groups of treatment, but the effect of the modified tongqiao huoxue decoction combined with Weishi manipulation is significantly better than that of massage traction group, and should be recommended clinically.
