Objective: Short-term insulin intensive therapy was performed on patients with new diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus with sleep disorder to observe the changes of sleep disorders and melatonin levels, and to explore the effects of short-term insulin intensive therapy on sleep disorder related indexes and melatonin levels. It provides a new theoretical basis for clinical application of short-term insulin intensive therapy for type 2 diabetes mellitus with sleep disorder. Methods: Selected patients with type 2 diabetes who were hospitalized in the endocrine department of the second Clinical Medical College of Xinjiang Medical University from November 2017 to April 2018.Sleep quality survey by Pittsburg sleep quality finger quantity table(PSQI).Defined as sleep disorder to PSQI?7.A total of 60 cases of newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus with sleep disorder were picked up into the group.Short-term insulin intensive therapy was given to compare preoperative and posterior fasting blood glucose(FPG),2 hours of postprandial blood sugar(2hPG),fasting C peptide(FC-P),post-meal 2hC peptide(2hC-P),fasting insulin(FIns),post-meal 2h insulin(2hIns),Changes in triglycerides(TG),total cholesterol(TC),low density lipoprotein(LDL-C),high density lipoprotein(HDL-C),Melatonin(MT)and sleep quality(PSQI).Results:(1)FPG,2hPG,TG and TC all decreased significantly(P<0.01).The level of FC-P?2hC-P?FIns?2hIns?HDL-C increased significantly(P<0.01).The level of LDL-C are not significantly higher than before(P>0.05).(2)The scores of PSQI scores and PSQI components were significantly lower than before(P<0.01).(3)Serum MT level higher than before treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion: Short-term insulin intensive therapy for newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with sleep disorders can quickly reduce blood sugar and blood lipids, relieve the body's hyperglycemia status, raise the body's melatonin level, and improve sleep disorders.
