Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the fungal status of skin lesions in patients with psoriasis, analyze the risk factors of fungal infection and colonization associated with psoriasis, and provide evidence for the diagnosis and treatment of psoriasis.Methods:100 patients with psoriasis who were hospitalized in the department of dermatology of the first affiliated hospital of xinjiang medical university from December 2017 to December 2018 were selected. The skin lesions of the patients, including scalp, trunk, limbs, feet and involved foot nails, were respectively examined by fungus microscopy, cultured, and the positive strains were cultured for morphological identification.Fungal microscopy was performed with fungal immunofluorescence staining, and PDA medium was used for fungal culture.Morphological identification was used for strain identification. The carrier group was taken as the exposure group, and the rest of the patients without detected fungi were taken as the control group. The results of fungal examination were combined with the clinical data of the patients, and multivariate Logistic regression analysis was performed to screen the risk factors of fungal infection in psoriasis. Results: Fungal direct microscopy was positive in 29 of 100 patients with psoriasis, with a detection rate of 29%(29/100),including 12 cases(12% 12/100)of foot lesions,10 cases(10% 10/100)of toenails,9 cases(9% 9/100)of trunk,5 cases(5% 5/100)of limbs, and 11 cases(11% 11/100)of scalp.Culture status: among the 100 patient specimens,16 specimens were positive.Among them,8 cases of foot lesions were positive(8% 8/100),7 strains were identified as Trichophyton rubrum, and 1 case was Rhodotorula rubra.Toenail 3 cases are positive(3% 3/100),all appraisal is Trichophyton rubrum.Positive results were found in 1 case of limbs(1% 1/100,),with candida albicans, and 2 cases of trunk(2% 2/100),1 case was Candida albicans, anather was Trichophyton rubrum.Scalp 2 cases were positive(2% 2/100),one was Candida albicans, anather wasTrichophyton rubrum.PASI score, duration of disease course, and toenail changes were all influential factors for fungal infection and colonization in psoriasis.PASI score was a risk factor for psoriasis associated with fungal infection and colonization. Conclusion: There is a certain proportion of fungal infections and colonization in patients with psoriasis.PASI score can be used as an indicator to evaluate fungal infection and colonization of psoriasis. The higher the PASI score, the greater the possibility of combined fungal infection and colonization.
