Objective: To explore the clinical manifestation and characteristics of visual impairment associated with Alzheimer's disease.Methods:35 cases of Alzheimer's disease(AD),30 cases of mild cognitive dysfunction(MCI)and 30 cases of normal control were examined for vision, visual field examination, color discrimination,OCT,fundus photography and visual spatial function evaluation. Results: AD patients can be accompanied by visual impairment, and visual space damage can occur early in MCI.The difference is statistically significant(F = 11.11,P =0.01 < 0.05).The number of field inspection exceptions in the AD group increased and there were statistical differences(F = 19.9,P= 0 < 0.05).The number of people with impaired color differentiation in the AD group was statistically significant compared to the control group(F = 7.99,P = 0.02 < 0.05).The average RNFL thickness of the AD group was thinner than that of the control group and was statistically significant(T =-0.41,P =0.486 < 0.05).Compared with the control group, the average macular thickness and macular volume of AD decreased, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference between the AD group and the MCI group and the control group. In the AD group, the average thickness of the RNFL became thinner with the degree of dementia, that is,the positive correlation between the average thickness of the RNFL and the MMSE scale(R = 0.169,P = 0.409 < 0.05).Conclusion: Objective to expound that Alzheimer's disease can be accompanied by visual impairment, and provide value and basis for early diagnosis and treatment of AD.
