Objective:To discussion the factors affecting the recurrence after surgery or recurrence after radiation therapy of the Ib~IIa cervical cancer, and to provide basis for prevention and individualized comprehensive treatment of recurrence of cervical cancer after radiotherapy. Methods:The clinical and pathological data of 193 patients with stage Ib~IIa cervical cancer diagnosed and treated in the Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 2010 to April 2015 were analyzed retrospectively. The patients were divided into postoperative radiotherapy recurrence group(36 cases)and non-recurrence group(157 cases),and the related factors of postoperative radiotherapy recurrence were analyzed. Results:The incidence of squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma and other types of cervical cancer was 90.2%(174/193),5.7%(11/193)and 4.1%(8/193),respectively.The recurrence rates of squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma and other types of cervical cancer were16.7%(29/174),45.5%(5/11)and 25%(2/8),respectively.The difference was statistically significant(?~2=12.463,P<0.05).The proportion of age?40years,adenocarcinoma,vaginal margin, vascular invasion, lymph node metastasis and parametrial invasion in the relapse group was higher than that in the non-relapse group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The OR values of positive vaginal margin, positive vascular invasion and positive parametrial invasion were all above 1(P<0.05).Therefore,the above three factors were independent risk factors for recurrence of cervical cancer after postoperative radiotherapy. Conclusions:Cervical squamous cell carcinoma accounts for the highest proportion of stage I b~II a cervical cancer, but cervical adenocarcinoma is more prone to recurrence after radiotherapy. The higher risk of recurrence after radiotherapy for stage I b~II a cervical cancer is that patients with positive vaginal incision margin, infiltration of vascular thrombus and parauterine infiltration should be closely followed up.
