Clinical Effect Analysis Of Improved Orbicularis-Levator Aponeurosis Fixation Technique In Double Eyelid Surgery

ObjectiveTo explore the clinical application and to provide a easy-handle technique in double eyelid surgery with obvious effect for clinical reference,we compared and analyzed clinical therapeutic effect of three techniques in double eyelid surgery including improved orbicularis-levator aponeurosis fixation technique in double eyelid surgery(herein after refered to as improved double eyelid surgery for short),the skin-levator aponeurosis fixation technique in double eyelid surgery(herein after refered to as traditional double eyelid surgery)and the orbicularis-levator aponeurosis fixation technique in double eyelid surgery(herein after refered to as Park technique double eyelid surgery).MethodFrom October 2016 to February 2018,we selected 90 patients who wanted to undergo double eyelid surgery aged from 18 to 30.They were dived into 3 groups.30 patients who underwent improved double eyelid surgery were in group A.30 patients who underwent traditional double eyelid surgery were in group B.Moreover,30 patients who underwent Park double eyelid surgery were in group C.3 group patients underwent different technique double eyelid surgery respectively.Date about personal information(gender,age,body mass index etc.),biochemical indicator(routine blood indexes,four blood coagulation indexes,infection marks etc.),eye characteristics(levator muscle strength,upper eyelid skin thickness,upper eyelid sag level etc.),healing indicators during and after surgery(surgery duration,amount of bleeding and healing indicators),swelling grade,thickness of the double eyelid line,complications(infection,hematoma,scar,sulci palpebralis superior sunken,ptosis,anomalous crease other than double eyelid crease,narrowed or fading upper eyelid crease,too narrow double eyelid and asymmetric double eyelid for two eyes)and patients' satisfaction were collected.Software SPSS 20.0 was applied to analysis and compare differences between the three double-eyelid surgical techniques.ResultIn regard to surgery duration,patients in group A was shorter than patients in group B,and patients in group B was shorter than patients in group C.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Blooding amount and healing indicators of all groups of object of study were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Swelling grade of patients in three groups all became slighter over time.That data 7 days after surgery was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Swelling grade of patients in three groups 1 month,3 months and 6 months after surgery had statistical difference(P<0.05).The pairwise comparison showed that compared with swelling grade of patients in group B,that of patients in group A was lower,being statistically significant(P<0.05).But the difference of swelling grade between group A and group C and that between group B and group C had no statistical significance(P>0.05).The variation of double eyelid width of patients in 3 groups 7 days after surgery,1 month after surgery and 3 months after surgery was not statistically significant(P>0.05).However,that of patients 6 months after surgery had statistical significance.The pairwise comparison showed that compared with group A,the variation of double eyelid width of patients in group B was greater,having statistical significance(P<0.05).However that between group A and group C and that between group B and group C was not statistically significant(P>0.05).They showed that compared with group B the variation of double eyelid width group A was slighter.Levator muscle strength of patients in three groups before surgery was all higher than 9mm,having no statistical significance.That of all patients in three groups was strengthened with different degree 6 months after surgery,and the enhancement of different groups varied significant,having statistical significance(P<0.001).The largest increase was harvested in group A.Infection,hematoma,scar,ptosis,over-wide double eyelid,asymmetric double eyelid for two eyes happened in 3 groups were not statistically significance(P>0.05).However,the occurance rate of the heavy depressed appreance in double-eyelid crease,narrowing or disappearence of upper eyelid crease and too narrow double eyelid of patients in group A was significantly lower than that of patients in group B and group C,being statistically significant(P<0.05).General satisfaction of patients in three groups was statistically significant.A was higher than that of patients in group B and group C,with statistical significance(P<0.05).The pairwise comparison showed that compared with group B that of patients in group A was higher,being statistically significant.Conclusion1.Improved double-eyelid surgery has following advantages including less t:ime cost,lighter swelling appearance of patients after surgery and the much more stable width of double eyelid line.2.Levator muscle strength can be strengthened by improved double-eyelid surgery.3.The complication rate of improved double eyelid surgery is much lower with more satisfaction of patients who underwent the surgery.
