| Objective: Based on medical cases about the correspondence between the heart and gallbladder in Chinese Medical Classics, the paper recognizes relative literature and summarizes the basic contents of the correspondence between the heart and the gallbladder. Methods: Information retrieval and literature research methods are adopted in the study.Findings: Through information retrieval of Chinese Medical Classics,76 medical cases are adopted in our study according to our inclusion and exclusion criteria.Through information retrieval of Chinese Medical Classics,79 medical cases of palpitation are adopted in our study according to our inclusion and exclusion criteria.Through literature study,we draw the conclusion that the correspondence between the heart and the gallbladder can be interpreted from the perspective of interaction of meridians, physiological correspondence and pathological correspondence.More specifically, physiological correspondence manifests in the interaction between shaoyin and shaoyang, generation in terms of father-child relation, mutual assistance in terms of monarch-premier relation. What’s more, the heart governs spirit while the gallbladder governs assertion, contributing to each other;the heart qi and gallbladder qi descend to ensure the free flow of qi;heart blood and essence of gallbladder together moisten the hair and contribute to fertility.Pathological correspondence manifests in meridian, shaoyang and shaoyin interaction, wood depression transforming into fire, excess or deficiency of fire, mental disorder, heart and gallbladder failing to descend, essence failing to nourish when pregnant and withered hair.Based on the study,we summarize 7 patterns of correspondence between the heart and gallbladder as well as their manifestations.Besides,we also probe into the medicinal and formula for related syndromes. At the same time,we further explore the clinical experience of western medicine and modern Chinese medicine to treat patterns of correspondence between the heart and gallbladder, which provides evidence for the theory of correspondence between the heart and gallbladder. |
