Objective:To explore the predictive effect of preoperative NLR on the prognosis of serous ovarian cancer in order to seek a certain clinical basis for evaluating the prognosis of serous ovarian cancer.METHODS:Retrospective analysis was performed on clinical data of 60 newly diagnosed patients with serous ovarian cancer who were surgically diagnosed in Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics and Gynecology at First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College from January 2013 to December 2015.The NLR values were divided into high NLR group(NLR ≥ 1.7)and low NLR group(NLR<1.7),and the clinicopathological features of the two groups were compared.Cox regression model was used to analyze the relationship between preoperative NLR and prognosis in patients with serous ovarian cancer. Results:There was significant difference in FIGO staging, tumor metastasis, and tumor recurrence(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference among other clinicopathological features(P>0.05).The overall survival rate of patients with high expression of NLR was significantly lower than that of patients with low expression of NLR,and statistically significant by log-rank test(P<0.05).The univariate Cox model had a close relationship with postoperative FIGO staging and NLR ratio, which had statistical significance(P<0.05).The univariate Cox model was statistically significant for multivariate Cox analysis. It was found that the ratio of FIGO staging and NLR was closely related to poor prognosis. The higher the FIGO staging and the higher the preoperative NLR,the worse the prognosis.Conclusion:1.The immune system plays an important role in immune surveillance of serous ovarian cancer. The improvement of immune status may improve the prognosis of patients with serous ovarian cancer.2.NLR is a simple, rapid and easy-to-detect serological indicator that can be used to predict the prognosis of patients. It is expected to provide new guidance for the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer. The pre-high NLR is an independent prognostic factor for patients with epithelial ovarian cancer. The higher the preoperative NLR,the later the FIGO staging and the more likely to have metastasis and recurrence.
