ObjectiveAnalysis with cavernous hemangioma of postoperative eeg characteristics of epilepsy, and to explore the abnormal discharge frequency, epilepsy wave side whether limited lesions, epilepsy wave whether in waking period and the relationship between postoperative seizures.Materials and methodsSelection of our hospital in January 2015-1 2010 nerve surgical treatment of patients with epileptic seizure of cavernous hemangioma with 29 cases as the research object, and 20 cases of men,women,9 cases, aged 2-61,mean age 28.5 + /-0.52 years old.All patients were confirmed by BBB 0 electroencephalogram(eeg)before operation.Postoperative 1 week again President cheng video eeg examination and analysis of the characteristics of postoperative eeg,and according to the characteristics of the postoperative eeg, divided the patients into the discharge frequency of 10% or less group and discharge frequency > 10%,epilepsy wave confined to the lesion side group and the epileptic wave to the contralateral hemisphere conduction, epilepsy wave only appear in the stage in group and epileptic wave in waking and sleeping. The postoperative epileptic seizures in each group were statistically analyzed.Fisher's exact probability test was used to investigate the relationship between the abnormal discharge frequency, whether the epileptic wave was confined to the lesion or whether the epileptic wave appeared in the awake period and the postoperative epileptic seizure.ResultsIn this study,29 patients were included in the study, and the follow-up time was 1-4 years, with an average follow-up time of 28 + + 4.75 months.Follow-up results showed that: 1.The ease the situation according to the Engel efficacy of patients with epilepsy classification standard: one of Engel grade I 24 cases(82.8%),Engel class II in 2 cases(6.9%),Engel level III 1 case(3.4%),Engel level IV in 2 cases(6.9%).There were 24 patients(82.8%)at the end of the follow-up.2.Cavernous hemangioma with epileptic eeg results: postoperative normal eeg in 1 case(3.45%),wake/sleep periods of lesion ipsilateral lead in continuous irregular polymorphous high amplitude ? activities in 1 case(3.45%),a localized epilepsy wave(spike wave, sharp wave, pointed the slow, slow spines, many spines of one or more of the following)27 cases(93%),which merge appear limitations slow-wave 23 cases(85.2%).There were only 14 cases of epileptic wave in the sleeping group, including 9 cases with epileptic seizure and 5 cases without epileptic seizure.Epilepsy wave appeared on the stage and awake period in 13 cases, among them 7 cases of epileptic seizure was recorded, not present seizures,6 cases of epileptic wave whether in waking period and no obvious correlation between postoperative seizures, there was no statistically significant difference. The discharge index was no more than 10 groups of 21 people, among which 15 were epileptic and 6 had no epilepsy.Discharge index > 10% there are 6 cases, including a seizure in 1 case, does not appear in 5 cases of epileptic seizures, discharge index of 10% or less possibility with epilepsy patients with spongiform postoperative seizures is greater than the discharge index > 10% of patients, the difference is statistically significant. The epileptic wave was limited to 17 cases in one side of the cerebral hemisphere, including 13 cases of epileptic seizures, and 4 cases without seizures.Epileptic wave in the contralateral hemisphere conduction in 11 cases, including seizures(3 cases),not present 7 cases of epileptic seizures, epilepsy wave is confined to the lesion ipsilateral hemisphere of patients with epilepsy, cavernous hemangioma with more likely to have postoperative seizure epilepsy wave to the contralateral hemisphere conduction of patients, the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion1.The postoperative eeg characteristics of patients with cavernous hemangioma with epilepsy were mainly: localized eclampsia combined with localized slow-wave,accompanied or not accompanied by conduction to the lateral cerebral hemisphere.2.Patients with epilepsy, cavernous hemangioma with discharge index of 10% or less postoperative seizure probability is greater than the discharge index > 10% of patients, epilepsy wave confined to the lesion ipsilateral hemisphere of patients with epilepsy, cavernous hemangioma with more likely to have postoperative seizure epilepsy wave to the contralateral hemisphere conduction of patients, the difference was statistically significant; There was no significant correlation between the occurrence of epilepsy and postoperative seizure, and the difference was not statistically significant.
