Objective:To explore the prognostic factors of patients with recurrent nasopharyngeal carcinoma after chemoradiotherapy. Methods:Clinical data of 80 patients with recurrent nasopharyngeal carcinoma after chemoradiotherapy were retrospectively studied,χ~2 and COX model were used for the analysis.Statistical analysis of survival of patients with recurrence was performed using log-rank method. Results:The overall survival rates of all patients were 96.3%at 1 year,67.5%at3years and 51.0%at 5 years, respectively, and the median survival time was 63months.In the univariate analysis,it was confirmed that the distant metastases or not and first-stage enhanced radiotherapy or not to prognosis. In the COX model analysis,it was confirmed that violations against neighbouring organizations or not、relapse chemotherapy or not and the distant metastases or not to prognosis.Conclusion:1.Distant metastasis or not is a key factor affecting prognosis of recurrent nasopharyngeal carcinoma after chemoradiotherapy, high distant metastasis and poor prognosis.2.The survival rate and no distant metastasis rate of the first-stage enhanced radiotherapy of recurrent patients are higher than the patients with no enhanced radiotherapy.3.Relapse chemotherapy is a good prognostic factor, violations against neighbouring organizations is a adverse prognostic factor.
