Objective:To investigate the short-term efficacy and side effects of loplatin weekly regimen with concurrent chemoradiotherapy in the treatment of locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinom. Methods:From October 2018 to December 2019,fifteen patients with locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma who were admitted to our hospital were selected. The enrolled patients were first treated with paclitaxel combined with loboplatin induction chemotherapy for 2 cycles, and then treated with conformal intensity-modulated radiation therapy 5 times/week,a total of 6 weeks. At the same time of radical radiotherapy, loboplatin 10mg/m~2 synchronous chemotherapy was given every week, once a week after the start of radiotherapy, until the end of radiotherapy, continuous synchronous chemotherapy for 6 weeks. To observe and record the side effects after concurrent chemotherapy and evaluate the short-term efficacy after 3 months of radiotherapy. Results:A total of 15 patients were enrolled.Of 15 patients,10 patients completed 6cycles of concurrent chemotherapy,1 completed 5 cycles,1 completed 4 cycles,1completed 2 cycles, and 2 completed 1 cycle.Complete response(CR)was achieved in 6 patients, partial response(PR)in 7 patients, and stable disease(SD)in 2patients,with a objective response rate of 86.67%(95%CI:69.42%-100.00%)and a disease control rate was 100.00%.Most of the side effects were less than grade II,and grade III to IV acute side effects included thrombocytopenia, vomiting, and radiation-induced oral mucositis, etc. Conclusion:Loplatin weekly regimen with concurrent chemoradiotherapy is effective and safe in patients with local advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma. However, due to the small number of patients enrolled in this clinical study,multi-center phase III clinical studies and long-term follow-up are still needed for further verification. |
