Objective:By collecting,collating and analyzing patent information on cardiovascular drugs at home and abroad,we can macroscopically grasp international cardiovascular drug patents of development trends,core areas,main patentee,and hot-spot technical fields,and make clear our country's position in the international arena,which could provide reference and consult for Chinese pharmaceutical enterprises and research institutions to formulate patent strategies.Methods:The patent retrieval system of the comprehensive service platform of the State Intellectual Property Office is the source of data in china,while in foreign,the data source is the Derwent Patent Database.Patent analysis method and social network analysis method are used in this paper.In patent analysis,the quantitative analysis is used for patent application,technology life cycle,application area,application institutions and major technologies,while qualitative analysis is adopted for the earliest patent,the latest patent and the core patent.Social network analysis is used to analyze the co-occurrence of technology and the cooperation of core institutions.Results:1.The amount of international patent applications has been declining year by year.At present,a complete technology life cycle is about to be completed.It is expected that it will be in recession or will enter the second technology life cycle.The United States,China,and Japan are the main application countries in this field.Current hot technologies involve three main areas: drugs that act on the blood and cardiovascular systems,drugs with a clear target,drugs that relieve fever,inflammation and pain.The top three companies in the number of applications are: AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals,Sanofi,and Bayer.Among them,Bayer Schering Pharma and AstraZeneca have the strongest cooperation ability.2.The number of domestic patent applications has risen sharply,which has far exceeding the foreign applications in China.At present,China has entered a rapid growth period.Domestic applications are mainly in the eastern region,with major application areas in Shandong,Beijing,and Jiangsu.The United States,Japan,and Switzerland attach importance to the patent layout in China.China's hot technologies include Chinese herbal extracts,chemical synthesis drugs,and pharmaceutical dosage forms.The top three applicants are: Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences,Novartis and Tasly Holdings Group Co.,Ltd.Enterprises focus on the study of Chinese herbal extracts,and research institutions focus on the study of chemical synthesis drugs.Among them,the cooperation ability of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences is the strongest.Conclusions:1.The technology life cycle at home and abroad is at different stages.The international patent application is in the recession stage,and the domestic patent application is in fast growing period.Facing the growing market demand and the relaxed international environment,our country should firmly seize the present opportunity.For the patents that have been successfully developed,we should seek professional agency to speed up the patent application.For the authorized basic patent,we should apply for the peripheral patent as early as possible to develop a patent defense strategy to avoid infringement.2.At home and abroad,there are different levels of emphasis on patent layout.The major international application countries attach importance to patent layout,while China seldom applies for patents in other countries.China's relevant institutions and enterprises should promptly distribute their patents in other countries or regions.3.The focus of research and development of pharmaceutical preparations at home and abroad is different.International research focuses on chemical synthesis drugs,and domestic research focuses on Chinese herbal medicine.In China,biopharmaceutical has great potential,and the preparation of alcoholic beverage will become the future development trend.4.There is no monopoly on domestic and foreign patents.The international main patentees are pharmaceutical enterprises,and the domestic main patentees are scientific research institutions.China's patentees are less to seek transnational cooperation,and they should give full play to the market-oriented of enterprise,research and development-oriented of institutions,government-directed policy-oriented advantages,and strengthen contact with international patentees.5.Domestic and foreign hot technology areas involve the research of antiarteriosclerosis and vasculitis drugs.The drugs on Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease should be further developed.The relevant institutions can change the research direction,make up for the patent defects,formulate research and development strategies to promote the further development of cardiovascular drugs.6.The level of regional R&D is closely related to the level of economic development,scientific research capacity,and policy support.In view of China's unbalanced regional development,government departments should take measures according to local conditions and regional development.For the eastern region,all enterprises and scientific research institutions should be encouraged to innovate and adopt incentive policies.For the central and western regions,it is necessary not only to encourage innovation,but also to provide policy support.7.China's scientific research institutions are changing from basic research to applied research,and enterprises are changing from applied research to translational research.Relevant companies and institutions should draw on Tasly's patent strategy layout,give play to their technical characteristics,and take advantages in this field.8.Domestic medicine for the treatment of ischemia,arteriosclerosis,hyperglycemia,hyperlipidemia,hypertension,cancer and heart failure has a strong technical correlation.Research based on anti-inflammatory drugs may be an important research direction in this field.
