Objective: In order to survive the first and most difficult 72 hours after the disaster,it is necessary for households to reserve some basic materials to cope with emergencies.It is necessary to understand the situation of household emergency preparedness in China and propose corresponding improvement measures.Method: Consult the American family emergency preparedness guide and relevant literature to design the questionnaire.We investigated the emergency preparedness capacity and their influencing factors of urban and rural residents through two ways of in the field and online.Descriptive statistical methods,propensity to match score and logistic regression were used to analysis the data.Results: In the field survey of rural areas,we find 63.1% of the respondents(142)had medicines in their homes;the drugs stored are mainly cold medicines,chronic drugs and antibiotics.Only 35.9% of the respondents had stored medicines for future.Of the households that did not store the drugs,84.1% of respondents said they feel it is not necessary.Only 9.3% of respondents had taken precautions against possible disasters.66.2percentage responses feels no need to take action of the others.There are differences in beliefs,knowledge and behavior among the affected and non-affected residents.Persons with chronic diseases are an important group.The self-rated health score is lower,the health damage is worse in the disaster,the perceived risk is higher and the burden is heavier,and the lower the self-efficacy than the others.In the online survey,we find 87.9% of the respondents(728 responses)store drug in houses,mainly stored are cold related drugs,traumatic drugs,chronic diseases and gastrointestinal drugs.Only 16.1% are stored for future initiatively.45.9% of respondents think it is necessary,but they do not know how to store and store what.Only 14 people(4.0%)took precautions against possible disasters;among others,48.8 percent of respondents felt the need,but did not know how to do.we find that higher risk perception,emergency knowledge and emergency preparedness completion rate in rural areas than in the urban areas.Conclusion: There is a shortage of emergency preparedness in China,and the government needs to formulate relevant policies,strengthen the publicity of emergency management,to conduct behavioral intervention for the potential disaster areas and the potential victims and respond to potential disasters. |
