ObjectiveThis study was designed to explore the effect of Chu Zhen on preoperative anxiety, sleep quality, blood pressure, heart rate, respiration and postoperative recovery of patients accepted laparoscopic cholecystectomy. It aimed to provide a new method and idea to relieve preoperative anxiety in patients with LC so that provide a safe and effective method for guidance for clinical nursing in patients undergoing LC.Methods1.Adopting clinical randomized controlled trial for this research.A total of 80 patients accepted laparoscopic cholecystectomy were randomly assigned to chuzhen group and control group,40 cases in each group.2.Interventions: The patients in the two groups were all treated with usual care of general surgery department. On the basis of control group, experiment group was accepted Chu Zhen therapy.3.Data collection:(1)General information: Including age, gender, degree of education, marital status, types of character, job nature, family's monthly income, payment of medical cost, types of disease, past surgical history,ect.(2)Therapeutic effect index: SAI score, respiration, heart rate and blood pressure were tested on admission to hospital, preoperative 1 day and 0.5 hour before surgery.Sleep quality data was collected on admission and the night before surgery.Postoperative exhaust time, the first leaving bed time, postoperative VAS pain score, usage of analgesic, hospital stay, hospitalization costs and patient's satisfaction were collected.4.Statistical analysis: Microsoft Excel version 2010 was used as a database for data collection and manipulation. All statistical analyses were performed with SPSS 21.0 software package.Results1.Baseline data : The clinical data between two groups were no statistically significant, including age, gender, marital status, degree of education, types of character, job nature, type of disease, surgery history, etc(P >0.05).Before intervention, there were no statistically significant difference in aspect of SAI score, vital signs and sleep quality in two groups(P > 0.05),baseline characteristics were consistent and comparable.2.SAI score: The anxiety scores of the two groups preoperative 1 day and 0.5 hour were higher than those at admission, the anxiety scores at 0.5 hour before surgery were higher than that preoperative 1 day.But the score of SAI in the chuzhen group at preoperative 1 day and 0.5 hour before surgery was lower than the control group.Repeated measures ANOVA showed that the between-subjects effects,within-subjects effects and interaction effects were statistically significant difference between two groups(P <0.05).3.Blood pressure, heart rate, respiration: The systolic blood pressure and heart rate of the two groups preoperative 1 day and 0.5 hour were higher than those at admission, the systolic blood pressure and heart rate at 0.5 hour before surgery were higher than that preoperative 1 day.But the SBP and HR in chuzhen group were lower than that in control at each time point.Repeated measures ANOVA showed that the between-subjects effects,within-subjects effects and interaction effects were statistically significant difference between two groups(P <0.05).The diastolic blood pressure and respiration at each time point of the two groups were no statistically significant difference(P >0.05).4.Quality of sleep: Wilcoxon rank sum test was used to analysis the quality of sleep of the night before the surgery of two groups. The result showed that the quality of sleep score of the chuzhen group was better than the control group(P <0.05).5.The first leaving bed time: T-test of independent sampler was used to analysis the first leaving bed time of two groups. The result showed that the first leaving bed time between two groups was no statistically significant difference(P >0.05).6.Postoperative exhaust time: Wilcoxon rank sum test and chi-square were used to analysis the Postoperative first exhaust time and exhaust conditions 24 hours after operation of two groups. The results showed that the Postoperative exhaust time of chuzhen group was earlier than the control group, the exhaust conditions 24 hours after operation was better than control group(P <0.05).7.Comparison of pain: Wilcoxon rank sum test and chi-square test were used to analysis the VAS score and usage of analgesic 24 hours after operation of two groups. The results showed that the VAS score of chuzhen group was lower than the control group(P <0.05),the usage of analgesic 24 hours after operation was less than the control group(P <0.05).8.Patient's satisfaction: Wilcoxon rank sum test was used to analysis the patient's satisfaction of two groups. The result showed that the patient's satisfaction of chuzhen group was higher than the control group(P <0.05).9.Hospital stay and hospitalization: Wilcoxon rank sum test was used to analysis the hospital stay and hospitalization. The results showed that the hospital stay and hospitalization between two groups were no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).10.Postoperative complication: Patients of two groups with no complications.Conclusion1.Chu zhen therapy can relieve anxiety of patients accepted laparoscopic cholecystectomy, keep the vital signs stable and improve sleep quality. It can reduce postoperative pain, the usage of analgesic and shorter the postoperative exhaust time, promote the postoperative recovery, thus improve the patients' satisfaction.2.This study proves that Chu Zhen therapy has its advantages, such as easy to handle and master, low cost and little side effects. It is worthy of being widely applied in clinic.
