Meta-analysis On The Effect Of The Integrated Chinese-western Therapy In Childhood Henoch-schoenlein Purpura

ObjectiveThe purpose of this meta-analysis is to evaluate the efficacy and safety about the integrated Chinese-western therapy in childhood Henoch-Schoenlein Purpura in using methods of RCT meta-analysis,providing evidences for treating childhood Henoch-Schoenlein Purpura by integrated Chinese-western therapy.MethodsBased on Cochrane criteria,logical into and exclusion standard,electronic databases were searched from January 2007 to December 2017 to collect the RCTs of treating childhood Henoch-Schoenlein Purpura by integrated Chinese-western therapy,including CNKI,Wan-fang,VIP,CBM and pubmed.Datas extracted from the included RCTs will be quality assessed.Revman 5.3 is the tool to make a meta-analysis of data.ResultThe author got 527 articles by searching electronic databases,and 21 Chinese RCTs involving 2070 patients were included finally,containing 5 academic dissertations and 16 journal articles.There are 1059 patients in experiment group and 1011 patients in control group.Although the risk of bias in all the articles is low,most of the articles have a number of undefined risk of bias.The results show that:Curative Effect in General:Compared with the control group,the experiment group is more effective in efficacy ratio and curative ratio,and the differences in two groups have statistical significance(P<0.05).Clinical Symptoms and Signs:Compared with the control group,the experiment group is more effective in improving the clinical symptoms and signs of purpura,arthralgia and gastrointestinal reaction,and the differences in two groups have statistical significance(P<0.05).Immunology Index:Compared with the control group,the experiment group is not much better in change of the level of IgA、IgG、IgM、TNF-ɑ,and the difference in two groups has no statistical significance(P>0.05).However,the difference in two groups of the change of level ofIL-10 have statistical significance(P<0.05).Integration of the Symptoms of TCM :Compared with the control group,the experiment group is better in improving the Symptoms of TCM,and the difference in two groups have statistical significance(P<0.05).The Recurrence Rate and the Untoward Eeffect Rate:Compared with the control group,the experiment group is better in reducing the recurrence rate and the untoward eeffect rate,and the differences in two groups have statistical significance(P<0.05).The funnel plot result of 18 articles that are based on efficacy ratio show that the patterning is nearly symmetrical,telling us the possibility of containing publication bias is relatively low.ConclusionThe treatment of integrated Chinese-western therapy in childhood Henoch-Schoenlein Purpura is outstanding in curative effect,especially on increasing the efficacy ratio and curative ratio,reducing the recurrence rate and untoward effect rate,the improvement of clinical symptoms and signs,which can be popularized in clinical treatment.In the future,much more studies will be carried out,which provide the powerful evidence for The treatment of integrated Chinese-western therapy in childhood Henoch-Schoenlein Purpura.
