The Analysis Of Risk Factors Of Reoperation For Intracranial Hemorrhage After Supratentorial Meningioma Resection

Objective: To analyze the risk factors of reoperation for intracranial hemorrhage after supratentorial meningioma resection to reduce the incidence of reoperation and improve the prognosis.Methods: This study retrospectively reviewed the cases supratentorial meningioma resection during June 2012 to June 2017 in the neurosurgery department of a top three hospital of Chongqing.The patients were divided to the no reoperation group and the reoperation group according to whether the patients had undergone reoperation,and compared the two groups in gender,age,comorbidity,smoking history,drinking history,tumor location,tumor diameter,intraoperative blood loss,operation time,etc.At the same time,the significance of distant bleeding in the reoperation group was analyzed.Results: A total of 523 cases of supratentorial meningioma were collected,of which 31 cases of intracranial hemorrhage were re operated,and the reoperation accounted for about 5.92%.The reoperation caused by intracranial hemorrhage after the supratentorial meningioma was about5.92%.Single factor analysis showed that tumor diameter,intraoperative blood loss,operation time had statistically significant difference(P < 0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that tumor diameter>5cm(OR=0.167,95%CI:0.034-0.818,P=0.027),intraoperative blood loss >500ml(OR=11.525,95% CI: 2.598-51.127,P=0.001),operation time >300min(OR=4.458,95% CI: 1.706-11.655,P=0.002)are independent risk factors of intracranial hemorrhage of reoperation.Conclusion: For patients with tumor diameter >5cm or bleeding more than 500 ml or the operation time was 300 min should be wary of the reoperation.
