MicroRNA(miRNA)are small RNA of about 20-24 nucleotides in length that have many important regulatory roles within cells.Its expression is closely related to the individual's development,proliferation,differentiation,and the development of malignant tumors.According to recent studies,it has been found that many miRNA can be used as proto-oncogenes or tumor suppressor genes to participate in the evolution of many malignant tumors.It is an important molecule in the process of tumorigenesis and development,among which miR-421 has attracted more and more attention.miR-421 is up-regulated in cells or tissues of various tumors such as nasopharyngeal carcinoma,gastric cancer,liver cancer,pancreatic cancer,cholangiocarcinoma,osteosarcoma,lung cancer,adrenocortical carcinoma,kidney cancer,colorectal cancer,etc.and plays a similar cancer Gene function.In this paper,the role of miR-421 in the regulation of the digestive system tumors,proliferation and apoptosis,invasion,metastasis and drug resistance,and the pathogenesis,diagnosis,treatment,and prognosis of miR-421 and digestive system tumors were studied.This article reviews these aspects.
