Current Situation And Expectation Of Customized Abutment

Nowadays under technologically developed and matured of implantation,some edentulous and dentition defective patients take implant restoration for the first choice.Well,the success of implant restoration not only depend on the stability of the implant,but also depend on its abutment and upper restoration.Abutment is one of the most important intermediate links between implant and restoration,which connect the implant and load the restoration.Implant producers provide multi-specification and models of abutments to satisfy the needs of clinical cases.But as the implant restorations are more widely applied,and prosthesis types continuously enrich at present,prefabricated abutment can't meet the requirements of patients or dentists in some cases already,there comes customized abutment.Now customized abutments become more popular.This review article aims to sum up the research status of customized abutment in domestic and overseas.
