Depression is gradually affecting our life, work and study as the incidence of depression increases.Data show that the number of people with depression in our country has reached more than 20 million.Depression suicide rates continue to rise and Research on depression needs to be accelerated. With the continuous improvement of modern computer technology, hardware radio acquisition system and mathematical signal processing technology,it is possible to explore the activities of the brain. We explored abnormal brain connections in emotional recognition in unipolar and bipolar depression patients. We used 32-lead EEG acquisition system and emotion Stroop paradigm. We used three emotions: positive(happy),negative(sad),and neutral. We explored differences in unipolar depression(17),bipolar depression(18)and healthy control(20).This project uses the phase synchronization analysis technique to analyze the difference of the number of electrodes in multiple frequency bands of EEG(Electroencephalogram)information and by using wavelet analysis method to study the difference of brain network connection function in single and bipolar depression patients by using PSI(phase synchronization index). Results show that unipolar depression patients' PSI increased and decreased in positive emotions and PSI increased in negative emotion, they all showed an overall logarithm increase over the frequency bands of the healthy control group. In negative emotions, unipolar depression patients' PSI activity attenuates in the alpha band and increases in the beta band. When bipolar depression in positive emotions,Significant increase in PSI activity at 13,14 Hz,decrease in PSI activity near 13 Hz,and decrease in PSI activity near 20 Hz.When bipolar depression in negative emotions,In the vicinity of 6 Hz and 12 Hz,PSI enhancement activity decreased,PSI enhancement activity decreased near 24 Hz,PSI attenuation activity decreased near 13 Hz,and PSI attenuation activity increased near 27 Hz.In the emotional picture, the number of electrode pairs in the unipolar depression patients showed significant differences with normal people in each frequency band. The electrode logarithm bipolar depression showed significant difference from normal in the high frequencybands of ? and ? waves.Overall, the difference in PSI activity between the bipolar patient and the normal person at each frequency band is smaller than that between the unipolar patient and the normal person. This article reveals the abnormal mechanism of the brain's emotional function in different depression patients.Provides a positive method to identify patients with bipolar depression. Therefore, this paper has more important scientific significance and good clinical application prospects.
