Research On China’s Medical Aid To Africa Since The Reform And Opening Up

China has been providing medical aid to Africa since the 1960 s.Before the reform and opening up,China’s medical aid to Africa was mainly oriented towards political and diplomatic purposes,with a strong ideological color.Since the reform and opening up,along with the economic construction as the center,the internal and foreign affairs of the country began to adjust in an all-round way.Therefore,in China’s non-medical assistance,the influence of ideological factors gradually desalinated.Under the guidance of the view of justice and profit in China,and actively participate in the practice of global public health governance.This article takes China’s medical aid to Africa since the reform and opening up as the research object.Since the reform and opening up,China’s medical aid to Africa has been carried out against the background of China’s internal and diplomatic readjustment.The change of medical aid practice in Africa is guided by the adjustment of the concept of foreign aid.At the same time,with the deepening and development of the concept of global governance,the global public health governance activities are increasing.In the face of the changes in the international public health governance situation,China is also actively involved in it.The public health situation in African countries has not been effectively improved for a long time,and other countries,such as China,are also welcome for non-medical assistance.Since the reform and opening up,China’s medical aid to Africa has been divided into two stages.With the deepening development of the concept and practice of medical aid to Africa,a pattern of aid to Africa has been formed,which is dominated by government aid and actively guides the participation of various aid subjects.China not only provides medical resources and medical teams to African countries,but also actively uses market mechanisms to help African countries build and develop their own public medical facilities.And in a number of ways to upgrade Africa’s indigenous medical force.The article is divided into four chapters.Chapter 1.It explains the background of China’s non-medical aid after the reform and opening up.First,African countries have poor medical conditions and are in urgent need of medical assistance from China.Secondly,the concept and practice of China’s medical aid to Africa has changed greatly since the reform and opening up.An end to the way in which the export revolution is the concept of aid,with peace and development as the theme.Finally,it explains the enlightenment of global governance and health governance to China’s non-medical aid since 1990 s.Chapter 2.It explains the specific contents of China’s medical aid to Africa.First of all,from the historical node of the analysis of the reform and opening up to the 1990 s and 90’s to the two transition periods.Second,from the aid content,on the one hand is to aid medical supplies,on the other hand,is also training African native medical personnel.Finally,the characteristics of China’s medical aid to Africa are that the government,as the main force,has increased many forms than before the reform and opening up,and listed China’s actions as a link of China’s participation in global governance.Chapter 3.It explains the achievements of China’s medical aid to Africa.First of all,there is broad support for non-medical assistance from African countries.In addition to the traditional inter-state political support,the voice of African folk support for China is also gradually increasing.Secondly,China’s medical aid to Africa has gained the same popular support and shaped good economic and trade relations between China and Africa.Finally,it has improved China’s ability to respond to medical emergencies and participate in global health governance.Chapter 4.The challenges that China may have to face in the future non-medical assistance are explained and countermeasures are given.The first is that the top-level design of China’s medical aid to Africa needs to be strengthened,able to be combined with Belt and Road and global governance,with the goal of shaping a community of human destiny.Secondly,the main body of China’s medical aid to Africa is relatively single,and cultural differences often lead to the display of medical effects.Finally,China’s medical aid to Africa needs to enhance its initiative and strategic value in order to better provide China’s wisdom and solutions for world global governance.
