Curative Effect Comparison Of Different Periodical Modified Electroconvulsive Therapy Of Patients With Treatment-resisitant Depression

Objectives To discuss the curative effect of Modified Electroconvulsive Therapy(MECT)and the improvement of suicidal ideation of the Treatment-resistant Depression(TRD)patients.Methods The 30 patients with TRD were treated 12 times with MECT,before and after treatments,the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(HAMD)was scored and observed for efficacy,the Self-rating Idea of Suicide Scale(SSIOS)was used to evaluate the suicidal ideation of patients,the Wechsler Memory Scale-chinese Revision(WMS)was used to observe the effect of MECT therapy on the memory of patients,using Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale(TESS)to observe the adverse reactions after MECT treatment.Results 1 The HAMD score of TRD patients after 12 MECT treatment was significantly lower than the HAMD score before treatment(P<0.05),HAMD scores of TRD patients gradually decreased with the increase of MECT treatment times(F=232.141,P<0.05),the HAMD reduction rate increased with the increase of MECT treatment times,the HAMD reduction rate increased the largest in the treatment of 6 times.2 The treatment efficiency of TRD patients gradually increased with the increase of the number of treatments,the curative effect was improved the largest in the 6 time.3 The number of suicidal ideation in TRD patients gradually decreased with the increase of MECT treatment times,the number of patients with suicidal ideation decreased the most in the 6 time.4 The scores of recognition,picture,lenovo and number of recitations of TRD patients after 3 times of MECT treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),after 6,9 and 12 treatments,the patients' recognition,picture,lenovo and number of recitations scores were all higher than those in the treatment 3 times,there was no significant difference compared with before treatment(P>0.05).Conclusions MECT had good therapeutic effect on TRD,worked faster,could significantly improve the depressive symptoms of TRD patients,improved the patient's suicidal ideation at the same time,and the most effective treatment was 6 times,the effect on memory was reversible,the safety was high,the side effects were small.
